Power Up

Chapter 1: GOOD BYE SCHOOL

It was 5:00 am in the morning when the alarm went off. Unfortunately, my phone was at the floor beside her bed.

I tried to reach for it without rolling off the bed, and failing.

With a dull thud I fell face first on the floor, still half asleep, I looked at the time and yawned.

"If I get up now I won't be late for school." I mumbled to myself and stood up from the foor.

I went straight to the bathtroom across the hall still mumbling to myself .

"Stupid school, having to get up early for studying. Good thing it's the last day, thank god for summer." I sighed and took a shower.

After the shower she immidiately put on her uniform that connsists  of a plaid skirt just below her knees and a button up white shirt with a patch on the left side of the chest complete with a green necktie and belt.

"Damn I'm hungry" I complained. 

I went to the dining room and saw that breakfast was ready.

After breakfast I checked her phone and saw that it's almost 6:20 am.

"Shit! I'm gonna be late!"

I grabed her bag and went to school. I arrived about 6:25 wich is good enough, I entered her classroom and sat beside her friends Colyn, Arjann and Juliet.

"G'morning" I mumbled a greeting, and recieved a series of 'Hellos' and 'Good mornings'.

"So, can you tell me why you look like your dead tired?" Arjann asked her.

"Because I am" I answered.

"Can you tell us why?" Colyn asked.

"Nope"

"Again why?" Juliet looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Bacause I don't know" I answered sleepily.

"C'mon it's our last day today, sleep after classes" Arjann told her.

"Fine" I sighed.

"Well since it's our last day, we won't have lessons today" Colyn informed us.

"Oh, yeah. It being the last day and all, we won't have to study anything" Juliet said.

"Fine, I'll just sleep. Wake me up if you need anything from me" I mumbled.

It turned out that nobody needed anything from me because I was up before lunch time.

"Well it's nice to know that you're not needed" I said to my friends.

"Well you weren't needed" Juliet said.

"Who's not needed?" I heard Sean's voice from behind.

"Apparently I am" I told him.

"It's okay I need my best friend" Sean smiled at me.

"Well at least someone needs me" I pouted at my friends, they just laughed at me.

For the rest of the day I did nothing but daydream about One Direction and secretly reading fanfiction on my phone under the desk.

I looked at the clock and counted down the seconds.

Ten, nine.

I gulped, just a little more...

Eight, seven, six.

Almost there...

Five, four.

I stared intently at the clock above the door...

Three.

I was already packing my stuff...

Two.

I gathered the pieces of shiny, colored paper I had in my pocket.

One.

There was utter silence before the bell sounded.

I jumped up and threw the shiny, colored paper all around the room screaming.

"SUMMER TIIIIIMEE!!!"

The rest of the students joined me, cheering. I quickly exited the room to find my friends by their lockers.

"Hey guys do you want to go somewhere tomorrow, I'll be leaving for London on Sunday morning"

"Do you really have to go?" Sean and Colyn asked me.

"Yeah, I need to. Dad says we have to stay with him"

"Can you at least take me with you?" Arjann pouted.

I smirked.

"Sorry babe, you know I can't"

"Damn! At least I tried" Arjann shrugged.

"Plus, I don't think you'll fit inside my luggage" Sean smirked.

"Asshole"

"We can always go to a themepark?" Juliet suggested, we all agreed.

"Sure!" Arjann exclaimed.

"So we'll meet up tomorrow at eight, I'll see if my brother can drive us" Colyn said.

We all separated on the way home. But not without reminding each other about the themepark.

When I got home I quickly set my alarm so that I won't be late tomorrow, and fell asleep.
