In a dark and hidden place, a man wearing dark purple pants, a purple shirt, black shoes, gray butterfly mask and a moth brooch was watching Marinette in his secret base.
White butterflies flew around him and encouraged him to transform one of them. As the man carefully watched the young woman cry he said "A poor young girl that has a broken heart. What a perfect target for my akuma".
He then gestures to his butterflies and one flew onto his hands and as the masked man covered his hands, a dark purple aura covered the butterfly. He then let it go and said in a dark and evil tone "Fly away my little akuma, and evil use this poor soul".
The purple butterfly flew out the butterfly carved window and out into the sky of Paris. As it flew, it looked for the place where it would take over and control the heart broken victim.
As the butterfly flew, it found the young girl crying on her bed and fortunately the window was wide open. The butterfly then flew right in and flew towards Marinette's bed.
The butterfly didn't show itself to her, it flew straight into her earrings. Marinette's earrings then turned dark and a purple butterfly mask covered her face from her eyes to her mouth.
She then heard a voice in her head "Lady Misfortune, I am Hawkmoth. I am here to help you get revenge on that boy that rejected you. In return, I just need the miraculous of Ladybug and Chat Noir. Can you do that for me?".
Marinette grew silent and tried to fight off the evil that was running through her veins.
