Them

Something New: Chapter Five

        I smile and stand up and walk to the empty side of the room right behind my chair. Zerrie comes to face me, a couple of yards away, she holds two swords. Almost, as if by instinct, I hold my hands up and two silver swords appear in my hands. I stare wide eyed at them and then turn my focus back to Zerrie.

        She lunges at me, sword point first, and I swiftly parry her sword. I strike back by hitting her back with the hilt of my sword. I throw my swords up and they disappear into a puff of red smoke. I push off the cold hard wood floor of the dinning room and latch onto the ceiling.

        I look down to see Zerrie smirking and then leaping onto the wall and speedily crawling up the wall. I cock my hand and a throwing knife appears in it. I aim and then throw the knife and send it spinning towards Zerrie. It hits her tail and she falls to the ground. She lands on a table and it shatters underneath her.

I jump down and head towards her. I pull her up off the ground and notice she has a cut, not only on her tail, but on her forearm, naturally, I hold my hand up and two smoke trails come out of my palm. When they reach the locations of the cuts they seep into them and heal them from the inside.

        Zerrie smiles at me and says "Thank you Apprentice." and bows her head at me. I smile back and bow my head at her also. As I sit down Zerrie sits beside me.

        Levi then gets up and Quesey does also. They stand in front of each other the same yardage as Zerrie, and I. "One with swords, and one with just magic." TP says and they both nod simultaneously.

        Levi holds his right hand out and, in a flurry of pages, his book appears in it. "Book first, Ques." he says and the usual smug smirk stretches its way across his face. Quesey has a small smile appear on his face as he does the same as Levi.

        They both stand there, waiting for the other to make the first move. Out of no where Levi disappears, with a flurry of pages. Quesey looks around trying to find my brother, when he appears behind him Quesey turns around but doesn't have enough time. When he turns around Levi smirks and Quesey shoots to the opposite side of the room. When he lands he gets up as quickly as he landed and shoots several pages at Levi.

        Levi holds his book up and the pages disintegrate into ashes and hit him in the face. He laughs as the ashes tickels his cheeks. He then open his book, the pages fluttering until they hit a page with green lettering. "Racine lui!" he exclaims and roots come out of the ground at Quesey's feet and crawl up his legs until they completley entangle him until only his neck and head are free.

        Levi laughs and appears in front of Quesey with pages falling to the ground. "I think I won." he says giggling. Out of nowhere Quesey breaks free of his binds and tackles Levi.
