Prologue

The girl watched the sun set admiring the view of not only the sun setting but of her boyfriend too. Boyfriend, her boyfriend. The girl giggled at how lucky she felt.

"What," the boy questioned smiling at her.

"Nothing," she grinned cheekily.

"Really? Do I have to tickle it out of you," the boy threatened playfully.

The girl's eyes widened and she shook her head.

"Then tell me or else," he chuckled raising his hands.

"It was nothing seriously," she said laughing trying to run away but the boy suddenly grabs her waist and starts tickling her.

"OKAY OKAY I'LL TELL YOU," she yelled laughing. The stopped tickling her but kept her close.

"You were saying," he breathed against her neck.

"I was just thinking how lucky I was, to have you. Before this summer you didn't even know me, I'm younger than you and yet here you are hugging me and yeah," she whispered smiling softly as the boy just held her with his head in the crook of her neck.

"That's all you thought? Babe I'm the lucky one, I did notice you. Maybe not all the time but you did catch my eye and now you've caught my heart," he said.

They sat in silence for a minute just enjoying each others presence. They may or may not know but everyone else knew they were in love, it was the type of love you would see in a book or movie, that you wish for all your life.

The couple were on a boat the boy had rented for the night, just for them. There was a week till summer ended and they'd have to go back but they were holding on to the last bit of summer with their nails. It felt like only yesterday the girl meet him, the surprise of bumping into him and the recognition of each other. They talked, they laughed, they fought, they sneaked out and finally they fell for each other.

"Let's head down, I've got something special set up for us," the boy said lacing his hand with the girl and guiding them own stairs.

The girl gasped as soon as she saw the room, it was gorgeous. There were rose petals every where, it was so cliche and she felt as if this should be in a movie. There was a white king bed in the middle of the back wall and infront of it a small table with a white cloth draped over it and a candle in the middle with two plates of food placed on each side infront of a chair. There were fairy lights along the walls giving the room a soft glow as the sun slowly set losing it's light.

"You did this all for me," she said nearly in tears.

"You don't like it, I'm sorry if it's over the top I know I only meet you this summer and I didn't know-," the boy said a little worried she thought it was bad but the girl cut him off with a soft kiss.

"It's more than I've ever dreamed of," she whispered.

The boy gave a shy smile rubbing the back of his neck with his right hand as his left was still in hers.

"Let's eat," he said dragging her over to the table and pulling out her chair.

"Thanks," she said grinning.

"Bon Appetit," he said grinning back.

The couple ate in silence staring at each other now and then, it was love and they both knew it. It was now dark outside, the wind was starting to get strong but the couple remained oblivious, absorbed in each other, as they finished and the boy brought out dessert. They chattered and discovered love was a never ending fall.

Once dessert had finished and the conversation had slowed the boy got up placed his phone on the table and a slow song started playing.

"May I have this dance," he said offering his hand. The girl smiled and took it.

"You may," she said.

They danced for ages the music stopped playing after 10 minutes but they did not.

"I love you," the boy said suddenly, surprising not only her but himself.

"What," she gasped, they had stopped moving at a still now.

The boy looked down before lifting his head with certainty.

"I. Love. You," he said.

"I love you too," she said in joy and the boy brought her into his embrace and kissed her sweet lips.

The two shared this passionate embrace until suddenly the boat jerked left making them stumble. The couple stopped and finally heard for the first time that night the howling winds outside and the waves against the boat.

"What's going on," the girl whispered.

"I don't know, stay here and I'll make sure everything's ok on deck and call someone," he said walking over to pick up his phone, which was now on the ground.

"I'm coming with you," she said stubbornly, not willing to let him go all by himself.

"No. Stay down here, please," he begged but knowing her he wouldn't win.

"What if you get hurt, it's only you out there! I can't let anything happen knowing I could've helped," she cried.

"Fine, but its just a quick check," he said, she nodded.

They made their way up deck and when they got there it was utter chaos. The wind strong, the waves high and crashing against the boat, the deck wet with water and the sail flapping about wildly. One step out and the boy started yelling.

"Go back inside!"

"NO," she yelled back reaching for him but she slipped.

Suddenly the a sail broke free hitting her in the head and making her fall once again hitting her head. She laid limp, unconscious, on the floor slowly slipping.

"ROSEBELLA," the boy yelled.

He ran over to her picking her up and bringing her downstairs again and placing her on the white bed. Slowly the bed turned a scarlet red colour, her blood staining the sheets.

"Rose! Rose! Wake up. ROSEBELLA! Wake up! I love you," the boy yelled wrapping a towel around her head, nearly in tears.

"Rose, Rose! I love you! Please Rose, I love you," the girl heard as she slowly drifted away not yet unconscious as he thought but fighting. But you can't win all fights as she suddenly lost her self to the darkness.

"Rose, please. I love you."
