"Yana..". I heard a voice singing my name softly. "Yana, wake up." I recognized the voice. My eyes fluttered open a little but closed again from the sudden brightness; but my assumptions was right, Joshua was the one trying to wake me up. I felt a small amount of slob on the side of my mouth, I'm pretty sure I have eye boogers, my hair is surely a mess, my breath most definitely stink- I don't have to open my mouth to know, and I surely look like a monster; yet, Joshua is smiling while looking down at me. "You're so beautiful in the morning." He told me gliding his hand over my face, pushing my bangs out of my face and kissing my forehead. I cringed imaging what he sees in front of him. I stretched and yawned, hearing my bones crack and finally smelling the displeasing stench of morning breath. Joshua's smile got bigger as he stood up. "Your mom is making breakfast for us since she doesn't have to work, and your dad is getting picked up by his boss for an emergency meeting, so they're letting us use the car for the day." I did a lazy smile while my eyes were squinting, barely open. Joshua lightly patted my leg. "Go take a bath and get dressed, by the time you're finished, the food should be done." I nodded and headed to the bathroom. When I looked in the mirror, my assumptions were right, I look like a whole crusty toe. What was he looking at? It couldn't have been me. Joshua must be blind and never told me.
After getting out of the bathroom and getting dressed, I made my way downstairs to the kitchen just in time, my mom was making everyone's plate. I took a seat next to Joshua after grabbing my plate. "So what are we going to do today?" I asked before taking my first bite of food.
"That's for me to know and for you to find out." He tried to wink but failed when both eyes closed. I laughed at the failed attempt. He looked away and paid attention to his food. After eating, we made our way out the door and to wherever Joshua planned to take us.
It didn't take long for us to arrived at......
A church?
Joshua happily left the car, smoothly moving to my side and opening the door. I looked at him with a confused face. "We're having our date at a church?" He reached his hand out to me, begging me to just come with him. I took his hand and held it as we walked inside the church.
"I've been going here for a long time, it's a major part of my life, and so are you— so I decided to bring you her." Joshua suddenly confessed. "It's also service day at the church." Joshua sounded like a school girl talking about the boys she likes as he talked about the church while walking. As we entered the church, the sound of music was so loud, it was causing the floor to vibrate. Joshua started to dance to the church music as we walked in to find a seat. I couldn't help but to smile and giggle at his energy and excitement.
