"You pathetic, worthless excuse for a son! Just stay up there till you stop being a bitch!"

I quickly close my door holding my hand to mine newly blackened eye. It was another night where Dad was drunk and filled with rage, I'm not sure how much longer I can take this. After I lost my third gym battle my father stopped believing in me, I couldn't seem to win any battles. At least I still had my love, I have no idea why the legendary had chosen to care for me but she did. I got up and began to bandage my wounds, I had many cuts from the glass bottle he threw at me. My once pale skin was now littered with cuts and bruises. I spent the next few hours just lying in bed resting, only when I heard my alarm did I get up. Quickly I rushed downstairs and began to make dinner, I knew if I didn't make it in time I would get another beating. Mom had been the one to do this before, but she had left long ago.

"you better have my dinner ready you little shit!"

I quickly rushed to put all the food on the plate and hurry to the dining room.

"yes Father, here you go"

He only took a few bites before spitting it out.

"this is horrifying can't you do a damn thing right!"

He picked up the plate and threw it at me I only barely managed to dodge out of the way. I tried to run but he caught me by my leg, screaming as I fell to the ground. I felt tears fall from my eyes and yelp as he kicked me, please someone just make this stop. Then I heard a loud crash and my father shout,

"What the fuck!?"

I could only barely managed to turn my head before I saw her standing there, Giratina. She took one look at me and was instantly by my side.

"Young _____, what happened to you darling? who hurt you?"

I thought for a moment if I should tell her, would she know if I was lying? That's when it dawned on me, this was my chance to escape, my chance to leave this hell, and I was going to take it.

"Him, my father."

With a shaking hand I pointed to the man now starring in bewilderment. As her eyes settled on my father they were instantly filled with rage. Before I knew it she was before him, her tendrils flaring angrily.

"You dare to harm my human, and even worse your own child, you are not fit for him."

With a strong pump of her wings she blew my father back causing him to hit the wall.

"I will not stand by as you continue to hurt my _____, nor will I allow him to stay in such a dreadful place."

With that she turned back to me, and I was still too shocked to say or do anything. She picked me up in her arms and walked out of the house before flapping her wings and taking to the sky. We flew quite a ways away from my home before settling beside a lake near the forest.

"You do not have to worry anymore ____ for I will not let anyone harm you."

I couldn't stop myself from breaking down in her arms, she had saved me. She brought us down to sitting position and held me close, her long hair draping itself around me.

"Thank you Giratina, thank you"

She held me for a little longer before pulling away and tilting my head up with her hand.

"There's no need to thank me _____, after all, it's just what's a good lover would do."

She gave me a quick peck on the lips before standing up, pulling me with her.

"Now my dear _____ would you like to come live with me and the Distortion realm?"

I thought for a moment, leave the Earth and live with the legendary Pokemon that just saved me from the hell that was my home.

"I would love nothing more than that."

With a smile she casts her arm towards the lake and just before the water's edge an oval appeared. The shape was quickly filled with black, red, and purple blotches swirling between one another.

"Then there's not a moment to waste"

She pulled me gently through the portal and when we arrived I looked at the new world around me. I wandered across the small platform taking in all the strange shapes and floating objects. It was then I remembering something I had learned about the Distortion Realm.

"Giratina Isn't there clouds of poisonous gas here?"

I was beginning to worry if I was in danger, but the gentle look and soft giggle she gave me said otherwise

"no, no, my dear _____ the gas is only poisonous to those I want it to be, you are safe here."

The way I felt could not be described by mere words. This legendary Pokemon has done so much for a simple human like me, someone who doesn't even deserve it. I ran to her and gave her another hug starting to break down into tears again. I felt her put her arms around me and pull me into a protective, almost possessive hug. I just buried my head into the crook of her neck as she held me, rubbing soft circles into my back. I knew I was going to be okay with her, and I couldn't think of a better life than living here in the Distortion Realm.

Giratina pov

I was flying through the air enjoying how my hair sputtered around me in the wind. This was one of the few times Arceus and the others would allow me out of my Realm, so I took the opportunity to just be free. I passed by the home where my loving human _____ lived, but as I grew closer I began to feel something was not right. Quickly I dive from the air towards his house stopping close by to see if I could figure out what was wrong. As soon as I landed I heard a screech come from the house, and I could tell it was _____. Without a second thought I burst open the door knowing my darling was in danger. I looked quickly around the room to see if I could spot him and as soon as I saw his broken form on the ground I knew I was right. I was by his side immediately seeing if he was even still alive.

"Young _____, what happened to you darling? who hurt you?"

As soon as I found the human that had laid a hand on my darling I will rip them to shreds. I watched him point slow and shakaly,

"Him, my father."

My eyes snapped in the direction he had pointed before locking onto a man standing only feet from my darling. I used Shadow sneak and was in front of him in moments,

"You dare to harm my human and even worse your own child, you are not fit for him."

I could attack him then and there but he was his father, despite what he had done to my _____ I could not kill him. Instead I just give a strong push for my wings sending him flying back

"I will not stand by as you continue to hurt my _____, nor will I allow him to stay in such dreadful conditions."

I turn and pick up my darling before leaving the building. I knew I could not leave him there with that horrid man so I thought it would be best to take him back to my home. With a small jump I lift into the air and begin flying to the summoning zone. I was determined to bring him home with me, for I was not going to let anything hurt my human again. I will protect him and I will make sure he is loved and cared for.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
