Hi, I'm Penny Longbottom.

You are reading my diary right now, if you haven't realized.

You may be just as bored as I am, but there's a purpose to all this.

At any age, you can experience any hard and mega awkward situations. My diary is for you to keep, and to learn from my full year of eigth grade.

I love how your still reading this. It makes me feel special.

I should probably let you in one on my profile first. Let's be besties

But we can't be besties. Yet.

Okay, now we are besties since you know everything about me.

Well, almost everything.

Anyway, the past few years for me has bee depleting and absurd.

Crazy,

Challenging,

Self-esteem crushing years.

6th grade consisted of bullying, braces, pig tails, and justice clothing. It was more embarrassing than you think but I made it out that year alive, and I learned my lesson when I chose to not to try different stores at the mall.

7th grade, oh gosh, where do I even begin?! That was a heck of a year, I got my period, and went through some weird emotional crap, and of course I developed a 'crush' on certain boys. The teachers were just so mean, and always threw homework assignments and projects due the next day. I have a social life behind my academic life.

But really, I didn't have a social life.

I had 14 followers on Instagram, and almost everyone doesn't reply to my comments about assignments on edmodo.

You might as well un-bestfriend me,

because I'm socially destroyed and soon to be mentally ruined.

I ended the year realizing that 6th grade was still the worst year ever. But things were changing for me, socially changing!

The summer break didn't help me socially anyway.

I feel like my parents are setting me up, at first they say "Dont be shy! Make some friends!" and then they lock you up in boiling basement without an iPhone. Torture.

Once I was free to live my one week left of summer, I went straight to my phone.

No text notifications.

No missed calls.

No Instragram follow requests.

Nothing.

Just a reminder telling me that I have 1 more week until school starts again. My final year of middle school.

I got all my supplies for 8th grade, which includes calculators, textbooks, notebooks, pencils, and other stuff.

But I'm pretty sure most of my supplies were clothing from American Eagle and dEliA's.

Now without further or do, you can read my entire 8th grade year, full of awkwardness, boys, school, friends and more.

Enjoy it! (or not)
