Oli's POV
•••
"Lee, you dick!" I shouted, chasing far behind him. He stole my ice cream cone that I had just bought like 2 seconds ago... that cunt."GIVE ME BACK MY ICE CREAM, YOU RAT." I yelled as I caught up to him. He jumped onto a bench and stood on it, holding the cone above my head. I jumped up to grab it but he pulled it up and away from me and I growled.
"Beg for it, pretty boy." He said, holding back laughter. Idiot.
"I will fucking not!"
He tipped it over, threatening to drop it. "Hey! I paid like 3 pounds for that. It's fucking quality ice cream! QUALITY. Drop it and I swear to Satan, I will gut you in your sleep."
Lee put his hands up in defense, still holding the cone in his left hand. He jumped off the bench and handed me back the ice cream cone, yanking it away before actually giving it to me.
I jokingly punched him on the arm and spat at him. "I hate you. You know that?" I said as we walked down the street towards a park.
"Yep. I hate you too, Olive." He chuckled, causing me to roll my eyes.
Lee is the only person I have actually made friends with in the past two years here in Weybridge. I may have over exaggerated about not knowing anyone, because obviously I'm friends with Lee, but that's it; just Lee.
The kids at the high school think we're both freaks, so that's why we get along. We're the outcast; the outsiders.
In a way it actually means we're unique. We aren't like anyone else, we're our own type of person, so being weird is actually great.
Sometimes at least.
Not as great when you get pushed into lockers or punched and go home with a busted lip or black eye, but still; unique.
"Do you want to go to a party later?" Lee asked.
I shrugged. I'm not a big kind of part guy because my anxiety, but I could make it work sometimes. And by make it work, I mean have quite a few shots as soon as I get there.
"Yeah, why not?" I grinned. Not could go wrong.
"Great, Matt is coming with."
"Which-"
"Vegan." He interjected.
I nodded and sighed. I didn't really hang out with Vegan much. He's one of Lee's childhood friends and it's always "Lee and V." We both kind of avoided each other for awhile but I guess we're okay now.
You could call us acquaintances at the most; definitely not friends.
"So when is this party?"
Lee looked down at his watch and smiled. "At 8, so in about an hour."
"What the fuck, it's already 7?"
He chuckled and nodded.
"Shit, okay. Can we go back to my flat so I can change into some at least decent looking clothes?"
"You look fine, but okay, sure."
We walked for about 10 minutes before making it back to my "home sweet hole", as I liked to call it sometimes. I ran upstairs into my room and looked through my dresser.
I pulled out a pair of black, ripped skinnies, a shirt that I designed, and a grayish-white jacket.
I quickly put on the clothes and walked over to my mirror, using my fingers to attempt to try to fix my hair. I ruffled it but eventually gave up, leaving it how it was before.
