Judgemental society

When we're young we're told we can be what we want to be,
Do what we want to do.
But the older we get,
The more we realise that this just isn't true.

We're caught in the face
Of reality.
Stuck between the lines
Of society.

People like you and me,
We're lost, we're hurt, we're scarred.
We don't know where we stand,
We don't know who we are.

They make you feel isolated,
In this world where you don't belong.
They push you around and make fun of you.
They bite you, they haunt you, they hurt you just because you were wrong.

We're not made to be broken,
But they keep pulling us down to hell.
We can't dream like when we were younger,
In this world that's ever so dull.

So next time you dream about flying,
Or you dream about breaking free.
Just stop and remember where we live,
We live in a judgemental society.
