Hey guys!
Right, so I stated to write this chapter in 2018... it's now 2020... whoops 😂 for those who don't know, I had MAJOR issues with my Wattpad account for about a year and I've only recently got it fixed. This book wasn't my top priority though when I returned as my One-shots book has more reads but recently one of my readers commented and reminded me that this book existed. I'm going to get this published for all you lovely people and I will try and get the story finished, I do need to re-read both 'Breakable' and the beginning of this book too, because fucked if I know what the hell is going on right now 😂 anyways, thank you for reading my teenage ramblings, and I hope you all enjoy ~Eren's P.O.V
Steph left me in the morning after we staged another fight. I took a shower and tried to think things through, clear my head a little, but I heard the front door open and then close. I know that it's not Steph... My breath gets caught in my throat as I tense up at the sound of heavy boots marching up the stairs.
A heavy pounding sounded off of the bathroom door, the sound resonating off the walls within. I flinched.
"Eren!" His voice sounded like sandpaper that scraped and cut open my ears from the inside. "Let me in, I want to see you,"
"C-can it wait a minute? I'm still shower-" The door was kicked straight off its hinges.
"No, it can't wait." I covered myself as he stalked towards me. Fucking deranged psychopath. He smirked at me before he threw my towel at me from its folded up position on the toilet. "We're going to go out, you've got 5 minutes to finish in here and then we'll leave once you're dressed." He left out of the now broken door and I was left to stand in the shower trying to scrub the shampoo from my hair and not get my towel wet at the same time.
I tied the towel around my waist and ran across to the bedroom, pulling on my underwear, a pair of shorts and a t-shirt as quickly as I could. I need to find a way to get help without setting him off, I hope Steph is far, far away by now. If she gets hurt I'll never forgive myself. I heard his boots coming up the stairs again. I ran my fingers through my scruffy hair and met him half way as I shut the bedroom door, cringing at the broken bathroom doorway.
"Ready?" Levi asked with a bored expression.
"Where are we going?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Memory Lane, shift yourself now."
~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh for fuck sakes, not this death trap!" I groaned as I saw the now half rotten tree house that Levi and I use to mess about in as children. The damn thing was almost falling out the tree. And he wanted to fuck me up there? No, nope, not happening.
"We had some good times here, now we can have some more," he gestured for me to climb the tree. When he realised I looked apprehensive he stalked toward me and whispered in my ear for some 'encouragement', "if you don't get up that ladder, I'll make sure Steph dies," he pulled back with a smile. "Climb." I obliged.
I climbed very slowly, looking for the footholds of the rotting ladder as I held on to the branches above me, praying I don't fall. The tree house was very high, we'd made it like that so that other kids wouldn't try and get in, but now with it rotting and falling apart, it made this all the more dangerous.
"Fuck!" I shouted as the foothold underneath me broke and snapped away as I was left just hanging on to the tree branch above me. Levi was a fair way behind me and I know he called something to me, but I couldn't hear over the sound of blood rushing in my ears.
I looked down at the daunting drop below me, and then back over my shoulder at a frantically climbing Levi. This was my chance. If I dropped, I'd likely break both my legs and I d have to go to the hospital... this is the stupidest thing I've ever done, but it'll be worth it.
I let go of my one life line and I heard the wind rushing past my head as I fell. I didn't make a sound. I just looked upwards at the tree I was falling from and felt numb. At least until I smacked into the ground on my back, somehow managing to save my head, as all of the air was knocked straight out of my lungs and I gaped in the unimaginable pain that filled my back.
I heard some kids screaming and parents bearding them away from me. I saw Levi up above me. He didn't move. He just slowly skulled higher into the tree until he reached the top. He disappeared out of sight for awhile and I hacked up some blood. Then I saw him, disappearing down the long zip wire we built in years ago. He's brave if he thinks that'll hold.
Pain flowed through every part of me as I heard the sirens of an ambulance. The paramedics arrived and asked me my name.
"E-Eren..." I managed to crook with great pain and difficulty.
"Alright, Eren, my names Oliver, we'll get you out of here as soon as we can. I'm just going to give you some painkillers, it should make u feel better," she said as she fiddled around in her bag, setting up a needle and drip with what I assume is Morphine.
"You might feel a sharp scratch in the back of your hand," I did feel it, but that pain was incomparable to what I was experiencing in other parts of my body. I felt drowsy, and I started to feel dizzy as I passed out.
