"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" A voice shouted, then started jumping around the room. I groaned, then opened my eyes slowly. Dexter was smiling big. Seth grabbed his arm, and pulled him aside. squirmed around  a little, and was completely normal. I continued then to watch Dexter jumped on the bed.

"Yay!" He shouted.

"See this is the Dexter we remember." Shit, I said that out loud. Dexter looked at, and I thought he was pissed, then said. "So you do speak."

"Huh? Oh, yeah, yesterday..."

"He gets nervous." Zeus quickly explained.

Dexter gave me a meaningful smile, and said. "Don't worry. Me too."

"God, what time is it?" Carson stretched.

"Four in the morning." Dexter said proudly. I was ready to ring his neck...

"I'm hungry. Seth announced. We all nodded in agreement. Dexter looked over to Landon who as propped up on his elbows.

"This is the second night in a row you've woken me up too damn early, Dex." He said angrily, but there was no anger towards Dexter with him.

"But you love me!" Dexter cried happily, then jumped on Landon's stomach. Landon grunted, but Dexter was too light to actually hurt him.

Their faces were very close to each other, and they looked like they were about to kiss. There was love in both eyes, but Dexter seemed completely oblivious to it.

They stayed silent, then Dexter's stomach rumbled on Landon's. "Way to ruin a perfect moment." Landon laughed.

"Go make breakfast." Dexter whispered.

"You have to get off me first." Landon smiled, then flipped his friend off of him. Dexter landed on his back, started gasping from pain. We watched intently as he gripped the sheets, and fought the tears.

"I'm okay." He breathed in and out slowly.

Dexter looked at us nervously. "You want to see, don't you?"

"Yeah." My brother nodded, along with Julius. I did, but at the same time, I didn't.

Dexter lifted up his shirt, and I Felt sick at what I saw.

In Dexter's back, was carved some horrible word.

Freak

loser

worthless

go kill yourself

Dexter put his shirt down, then continued on like nothing happened.

Dexter somehow managed to sweet talk Landon into making pancakes.

We sat at the table, and Dexter slowly ate hardly of his.

"I'm tried." he said.

"DC, you little shit, you woke us up and now you're tired." Seth shook his head in disbelief.

"Yup." He said proudly.

"You need to eat more." Landon told him.

Dexter went over and sat on his friend's lap.

"How are they not dating?" I whispered to Zeus. Zeus smiled and shook his head.

Dexter fell asleep on Landon's lap like a little kid. It was weird to see someone older than me so damn fragile.

After we finished eating, Landon carried Dexter into the living room and we followed. He laid on the couch, then spread his legs and tucked his friend between them.

Carson went over to his tv, and set up the video game counsel. Seth passed around controllers, and tried handing one to me. "No thanks." I said shyly.

"I don't like that answer." He said.

"Come on, Kam, stop being a creepy loner. Play." Julius laughed.

"I don't know how." I lied. With no friends, I don't get out. I love my video games.

"I'll teach you." Seth smiled, sitting down by me.

His warm body brushed up against mine, and I shivered.

"You okay?" Seth asked me. I nodded my head, then stared at the screen intently.

The game started, and I picked my  weapon immediately, knowing exactly what I was doing.

"Holy shit!" Seth exclaimed. "Never been more happy you're on my team!"

"Thanks." I smiled slightly. Seth and Landon were on my team, and Carson, Zeus and Julius were on a team. [A/N: I know that in Pinky promise it was Carson, but Seth is better, so i changed that]

Because of me, our team won four rounds...out of four rounds. During the fifth, Carson's phone went off. "It's Mrs. Kasen." He smiled, then answered it.

"Who?" I asked.

"Danny's mom." Seth smiled.

"He's coming home!" Carson yelled, jumping up.

The rest of the time we played the game, Carson and Seth talked about Danny. Landon didn't want to. Apparently he had nothing good to say about him.

After a while, Dexter finally yawned, and stretched awake.

"You missed it, DC." He was told. "Danny's coming home tomorrow."

Dexter looked both happy, yet scared and disturbed.

We went back home around noon, and I sat silently in back.

"So, Kam, what do you think of them?" Julius smirked.

"Really nice people." I said flatly.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"I'm just tired." I shrugged.

"You and Seth hit off pretty good. Do you like him?"Zeus chimed in.

"As a friend. I'm not gay. I take after you a lot, but not like that."

"If you ever change your mind, it'll be okay."

"Cool." I mumbled, nodding, beginning to zone out.

Before I knew it, I was out cold, and being carried inside.

"He wore himself out. Kam isn't use to socialization like we are." Someone said as I was placed in bed. I don't think it was mine.

I stirred a little, but my hair was brushed from my forehead, and someone whispered in my ear. "Sleep, we'll wake you up later." I nodded, then rolled over, extremely tired.

"You guys didn't do drug, did you?" I heard Mom scowl.

"No, we swear. He honestly just isn't use to interacting with people. But he's, and we, are getting to be close with them. And they are really good for Kam. And us.

"Okay. Just keep him safe. And you guys too, but Kampton doesn't need anymore people messing with him."

"No one will mess with him from that group."

"Even though you and Julius..."

"Three of them are gay."

"Okay. I'm really glad you guys have more friends. Especially Kampton. I'm so tired of him being alone and throwing his life away by not getting out."

Really? Is this what they say behind my back when they think I can't hear them? What the hell? I didn't actually do anything, and they bash me?

I rolled back over and opened my eyes to see everyone in the hallway outside my door.

"Oh my God, Kampton!" Dad exclaimed. "Kam, how much did you hear?" He came in quickly and crouched down by me.

"Enough to know that I hate you right now." I snapped then threw the blankets off, and ran out. But I'm the loner. I have absolutely no where to go.
