"Dammit, Kam!" My body was roughly shoved, and I rolled over into the wall.
"What?" I groaned, rubbing my eyes, and sitting up.
"You drooled on me!"
"Sorry!" But it took a lot for me not to laugh.
"Dammit." Zeus kept grumbling to himself, as he left the room.
"At least you didn't have a wet dream." Julius smirked at me.
After he said that, I couldn't hold in my laughter anymore.
Julius rolled his eyes at me, as I tried to catch my breath.
Zeus came back in and pounced on the bed. "Dads sleeping so be more quiet." He told us.
"Is mom home?" I asked, hall hopeful.
"No. And I'm ready to shank her eyelash."
"What the hell?" Julius laughed.
"I dunno!" Zeus exclaimed. "Just, yeah!"
Leroy started crying and Zeus and I stared into each others eyes, silently deciding who should go get him.
The cries got louder and Julius sighed from across the room.
"I guess I'll go."
I exchanged a look with my brother, and we nodded.
"I love you, Babe!" Zeus shouted.
"Yeah, yeah, you too." His boyfriend grumbled.
My brother and I sat in silence just looking at each other. His phone started to vibrate on the nightstand causing us both to jump.
"Hello?" Zeus answered it, confused. "Mom!" He shouted, both excited and mad at the same time. "Where are you?"
I wish I could hear what was said on the other end, but Zeus kept getting more frustrated as the time passed.
"He's in the bathroom." Zeus looked at me, coldly. But it wasn't directed exactly at me. "Yeah, I'll have him call you later. I don't know, he just isn't feeling the best. No, he just needs rest. He's sleeping. We'll if you wanted to talk to them so bad, maybe you shouldn't have left. I don't fucking care, Mom!"
Zeus clicked off his phone, then threw it against the wall. I sat there, silently, and a bit confused, and let my brother mumbled things to himself.
That was when he looked at me, and his face softened. "I'm sorry, Kam." Zeus pulled me on his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and placed my head on his shoulder, and he wrapped his arms around my stomach and back and put his head near my chest. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay." I whispered, even though I wasn't sure what he was sorry about.
We pulled away from each other, and saw Dad and Julius standing in the doorway.
"You talked to Mom?" Dad asked Zeus.
Zeus shrugged. "She called, but not much was said."
"Same here."
"Why couldn't I talk to her?" I asked, feeling left out.
"That just won't be good for you right now, Kampton." Dad explained.
I nodded, pretending I understood. I didn't though. But I let it drop.
"I didn't mean to make Mom hate me." I whispered. "Now I bet you all hate me too."
All three of their faces softened.
"I swear to God, Kam, I will hit you with a rake next time you ever think like that again, got?" Zeus held me close to his chest.
