UNEDITED

Finally!

The day has come that my Dad is letting me go to Morrison High School here in New York City. He's always kept me away from boys, but today is the day that I will-

"Malia! Get down here or you'll be late!" My Dad yelled.

And here we go...

Let me introduce myself. Fourth Wall Break? Yes. Fourth Wall Break. Anyways, My name is Malia Gonzalez and I'm 17 years old. I've been homeschooled all my life and I finally have the opportunity to go to an actual high school. Exciting, right? Anyways, back to the story.

I put on my outfit for the day really quickly. It was super cute and I've been waiting to wear it for at least two months now.

I grabbed my bag and ran down the stairs towards my Dad's voice. My Mom wasn't around anymore. She died in a shootout with I was 8, but Dad tries his hardest to be both parents and handle the gang stuff. He's always exhausted and I try to get him to calm down sometimes, but it's no use.

"Hey Dad!" I said as I jumped down the last 3 steps and into the kitchen.

"Malia! Be careful!" He yelled.

"I'm fine, Dad. I can handle myself. All I did was jump down a few steps." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Whatever. Just get your keys and head to school." He said. I quickly grabbed my keys to my BMW S1000RR sport bike and walked out of the penthouse and down to the 2nd floor parking garage.

"First day! Let's go!" I said, as I hopped on my bike, putting on my helmet.

I stuck the key in the ignition, pressing the button to turn it on. I then drove out of the parking garage and down the busy city streets towards the high school that is about a 10 minute drive according to New York City traffic. My favourite!

"This is my first day, I really hope I don't mess this up!" I said to myself.

As I pulled up to the school, I saw all of the people walking inside. I parked right near the front in the motorbike parking and got off my bike. Everyone around was staring at me as I took my helmet off and got off my bike. I fixed my bag on my back and carried my helmet inside as I walked to the attendance office.

'Why is everyone staring at me? Haven't they seen a girl riding a bike before?' I thought to myself.

I now kind of wanted to get this day over with. It's my senior year, but I already want to leave. The stares just seem like a little much.
