UNEDITED

As I arrived at the building, I noticed that there weren't a lot of students around and a ton of cars in the parking lot. 'Weird...' I thought as I pulled my sportbike into the bike only parking zone. 'I'm usually one of the first ones here!' then it hit me. "I'm late!" I quickly said, grabbing my bag and rushing into the school to my first class.

My black converse slamming against the cement floor as I moved faster and faster. "No running!" A hall monitor yells. "No! I'm late!" I quickly say, continuing to run.

I make it to my first period, luckily only about five minutes late. Still late for me! I slide into the classroom, quickly taking an empty seat near the back. Luckily, the teacher didn't notice my late arrival so hopefully, I wouldn't get written up. Dad would surely kill me if I was late on the second day.

About halfway through the class, I feel a buzzing in my pocket. I reach down, grabbing my iPhone out of my pocket and quickly looking at the text. It was from my Dad's bodyguard with just the word, "Vanilla".

My eyes go wide. 'Shit!' I think to myself as I quickly grab my things rushing out of the room. The teacher looks at me weirdly as I quietly say, "Family emergency".

I run through the halls again towards the doors, slamming my way through them as I quickly jump on my bike, turning the key in the ignition, and flying out of the school parking lot.

I feel my phone buzz again as I stop at a red light. The text reads: "Hospital. Off of 5th." I nod, quickly making my way through the busy streets of New York City.

As soon as I arrive at the hospital, I park, rushing inside and over to the front desk. "Name?" The nurse says with a seemingly emotionless tone. "I need to see my Father! He was brought in. Last name Gonzalez." I say quickly, my breathing erratic as I tap my fingers on the desk. The nurse rolls her eyes, clacking on her keyboard.

"Room 217." She says, going back to whatever the hell she was doing. I don't bother saying thanks, she was a bitch anyway, running through the halls.

I run up a staircase to the second floor, continuing into my quest. 210... 211... 215... 217!

I make it to the door, stopping for a second to catch my breath before walking inside. The sight in front of me was a nightmare in reality.

My Father was hooked up to multiple machines, bandages covering his chest and legs, and he was unconscious. Tears start to build up in my eyes as I slowly walk over to his bedside. I grab a chair, pulling it closer to the bed as I sit down next to him. I take his hand, the tears escaping my eyes as I sob. "Daddy... I need you. Please." I say quietly, continuing to sob.

I stay like that for a while, just wishing for my Dad to wake up. "Te amo papá. Por favor despierta!" I say, continuing to cry the last of my tears.

I then hear the door open, my father's bodyguard, and one of his partners, Jacob, walk into the room. I quickly wipe my tears away, standing up. "Yes?" I say, a little annoyed at the intrusion.

"Princesa..." My Fathers' bodyguard, Hector, starts. He had always called me that from the time I was a little girl. "There was a fight. Your Father got right in the middle of it when we were making a deal. The doctors say he'll make it, but it will take time. For now... They need someone else to lead." He says, sighing.

"What about me, Hector?! I'm my Fathers only child," I say, wanting to help.

Hector shakes his head, "You're too young, Princesa." I growl at his words, starting to glare at Jacob. "So Jacob is taking command until your Father is better." He says, I can see the annoyance clear on his face. "Along with his son..." I furrow my eyebrows. 'Son?' I think.

At that moment, a very familiar face walks into the room. His eyes widening as he sees me.

"No fucking way..." I say as Hector shushes me for the language.

"I feel like I should be the one saying that." The boy smirks. Brandon. Freaking. Woods. AGAIN!
