Chapter 2

Ariana flicked her eyes up and down Kate's body; covered with only the button up. For once, could Kate just keep her hands off of her things? Kate appeared to have a remorseful look on her face, but Ari wouldn't fall for any of her tricks.

"Ari! I've missed you so much," Kate said. Liar. Liar. Liar.

"You." Ari said, directed at Kate.

Kate made her way down the stairs. With Elliot's eyes all over her. Ugh, disgusting.

"I knew you were lying," Ariana sneered at Elliot. She walked over to him and started jabbing his naked chest with her pointer finger. "I knew it!"

"Look, it's not what you think-" Elliot began, bewildered. Does he even know what she thinks? God. Ariana could not stand him.

"Not what I think?" Ariana screamed. Her temper beginning to show. "Do you even know what I think?"

She paused and took a deep breath. She couldn't let her temper take over. These were her friends. No, she thought, these were her ex friends, but does that mean she could let herself look like a ruthless beast? No. She smoothed out her now wrinkling floral dress.

"A, listen to me," C pleaded. Ariana turned her gaze back to C. She glared at her once friend, causing her to back away. Where was Louis? She glanced up the stairs half expecting to see him, but to no surprise no one. They were making a racquet down here. Where was he?

"I don't have many things. I have a boyfriend and a prestige label. Maybe once, just for once, could you back off?" Tears formed in Ariana's eyes. "Why are you even back? You didn't even leave a message!"

She pondered over whether she should discuss about the accidental call. Maybe she could somehow leak out about C's crazy life, but then wouldn't that hurt her reputation too?

"I-" C had began to say.

"You know what? Save it." Ariana stormed out of the room, leaving Elliot and Cathryn frustrated and confused.

How could she be so foolish?

Her instincts told her to give Louis a call, but what good would that do? The elevator clicked to the main floor lobby. Maybe she should have gone up the stairs and paid Louis a nice visit.

A sigh left her lips. It was pay back. She would hit Kate so hard she wouldn't even know what came to her.

"Have a good one Miss. Cavendish," Earl, the door man, smiled to Ariana. She made her way out.

"Oh I will," Ariana smirked. Tonight would be a fun night, she thought.

"Destination, humiliation." She said aloud, to nobody in particular. It had a nice ring to it. She smiled as she made her way home.

"Okay, so, remember I'll be in the one on the left, near the kitchen." Ari repeated, into her phone. Her plan was ready to come into place. She smiled as the receiving end responded positively. Fugitively she bid goodbye and hung up.

Her maid came into the bedroom to get Ari prepped for the night. "I hope I did not hear what I think I heard," she said hastily as she went into Ariana's closet to grab the dress.

"Well of course not," Ari smiled back at her, "why would I do such a thing?"

Claudia glared at her as if she could see right through Ari's lie. "Ms. Barbour would not be happy."

"Leave my mother alone. She doesn't need to know," Ariana snapped. Claudia was more than a mother to her, but she couldn't be putting her noes into others peoples business. Well, at least without permission. Claudia released a sigh of disapproval.
