Mercury light blue hair swayed in her hazel eyes. Believe it or not she was born with blue hair. Though she kept trying to dye it, the hair would stay blue.
Mercury was to focused on her math homework to pay atention to the laughed behind her. She intelligently finish a quiz in Spanish 40 minutes before the others.
Truth was she loved school though most hates it. People said they only came because of social interaction but mercury saw right through that. She knew that they had a thirst for knowledge deep inside of them They wanted to learn. She could read people well. Interupding her homework a paper ball was thrown at the back of her head.
Laughing erupted through the whole classroom, Mercury rolled her eyes and turned around seriously. "Hey Uranus" Travis Jose babbled out of his mouth, and Snickers filled the room yet again.
"It's mercury"
"Whatever, are you gay you. You ever even had a boyfriend" Travis stated. It was true though Mercury had never had a boyfriend. And she didn't want one, she wanted to be independent and strong. But people still thought of her as a geek waiting to be picked on.
Mercury and a whole lot deeper than that. She was funny, clever, and Brave. But no one would ever let her Go show that side of her.
"Why are you recruiting" mercury asked questionably.
"I'm straighter then the pole your mom dances" Travis said raising an eyebrow. Laughed filled the room once more until the teacher shhhhed us.
"Unless you all want detection I highly suggest you continue working. Yo-" Mr. grenns was cut of my the speaker.
" attention senior students, I'm talking to you because we have been highly blessed. Astonishly NASA has picked our school out of five for two people to go into space, the other schools are willborrow, bridgewood, Vancouver High. Every senior wanting to participate must either write a paper, build something 3D or 2D, or Draw Something. Thank you and have a good day" the speaker stop, And everyone in the classroom cheered. Suddenly there was a screeching noise, then our principles voice came up again."I almost forgot today's lunch is a pizza day" the school treats them like there in 5th grade. And yet they don't even realize.
Mercury felt like she never belonged in this world these people did so much damage the world was going to end in soon. This was her way out Of this hell.
