The entire experience of moving to LA and joining the Game Grump editing team was both exciting and nerve-racking. Today was your first day on the job, and the first day you met your co-workers. These would be the people you'd be around the most at your job, so you hoped they'd be nice individuals. The only thing you knew about them so far was that they were two men and they ran their own YouTube channel.

Arin introduced you to the two figures you'd be editing with. One was a tall, skinny boy with glasses, and the other was a slightly shorter man with a beard. Your first interactions with the pair was a smile and a handshake from Ryan, the shorter man, and a nervous "Hi" from the skinny boy.

Your first days on the job were fine. Both Ryan and Matt were friendly (though they'd get into dumb little arguments on occasion), and were very helpful when you were confused with the editing software or process.

As you were heading out for lunch on your seventh day, you were stopped by Matt. He asked you the question that started everything.

"Hey, do you um, want to get lunch with us?"

You were approached by Chris one day to be a guest on OneyPlays. You promptly agreed as you didn't have anything else to do that day. He told you that along with Dingdong and Julian, the four of you would be joined by two other people. When you tried to ask who, Chris just replied with a smirk and a "you'll see".

The two other people in the recording room were faces you vaguely recognized as Ryan Magee and Matt Watson of another let's play channel, SuperMega. You didn't know the pair well, but atleast they weren't complete strangers.

Due to how small the couch was and the fact that there were six people in the room, you ended up sitting on the floor with one of the two newcomers, Ryan.

While the others focusing on setting up, Ryan turned to you

"You must be [y/n], I'm Ryan Magee, I've heard a lot about you from Chris." Oh god. Due to your long-time connections to the tall man, Chris had some blackmail-worthy information on you.

"That name has popped up in a few conversations."

The formal conversation unraveled into a talk about your shared interests. Apparently, you and Ryan had a lot of common interests. But, your conversation was cut short. You still had to record after all.

On your way out of the office, you felt a slip of paper slide it's way into your sweatshirt pocket. When you got to your car, you pulled it out.
