Chapter 1:
It Was the last day of school, I anxiously looked up at the clock 2:55, 5 more minutes until summer!I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around, it was Matt. Matt had been my best friend since 2nd grade, he knew everything there was to know about me. "Hey Elle, still want to go to the beach after school?" "Of course!" I winked at him and turned around. The teacher started to say something but I didn't care, it was too late. The bell finally rang, and everyone went crazy running out of the room. Matt grabbed my hand and we joined skipping down the hall too. We walked to the beach and ha the best time, eating snow cones and going to the carnival.we had done that every last day of school.
-2 years later-
It was the last day of school again, but this time without any excitement and without Matt.Earlier that year he started touring with magcon and I hadn't heard from him in a few months. The bell rang and I headed outside to meet Naomi, my best friend since I moves to La a year ago. We started to walk home and grabbed a snow cone on the way home, ironic I know. "I'll text you later ok ? " "k bye" I took my shoes off and walked up my driveway in the sand. I knocked on the door, no one was home so I sat down on our chair by the door and started to dig through my purse to find my house key. I suddenly heard screaming, I got up and saw a couple girls jumping and laughing on the beach, I shrugged and unlocked the door and walked in. I went upstairs and threw all my stuff by the door and changed into sweatpants and an old T-shirt. Then I grabbed my hair and put it in a messy bun, and went into the kitchen. I sat at the table and went on my phone, "Hey won't be home until late, have fun -mom" I put my phone on the counter and went to the freezer grabbing my Ben and Jerry's and went to the couch, flipping on netflix this would be my "fun" for the night. A couple hours later my phone vibrated but I ignored it, too into a gossip girl episode. Around 7 there was a knock on the door, I stood up and grabbed my phone and walked over to the window. I moved the curtain, and peeked out, MATT?! I couldn't help but yell, and hit my head on the window. I ducked down so he couldn't see me and checked my phone it was a text from Maddie from earlier, "Magcon is moving here ?! Matt!!
