Caught Cold Handed

Tina started tapping on the wheel with two fingers, with uncertainty. With hesitation, Tina said aloud, "Call Catharine" and on the screen in the car, appeared Catherine's name and the word Dialing on it. Tina impatiently waited for her to answer.

"Hello?" Catherine Wilder said nervously, "We have a situation, that NEEDS to be handled now and fast," Tina replied eagerly.

"Who or what is the issue?" Catherine asked sharply. "Rachel Kimberly," Tina responded with a serious tone in her voice. Catherine paused for a minute over the phone, "Text me where and when you want to meet up," Catherine finally said before hanging up.

The Next Day{at the Stein's house}
Chase and I walked through the front door of his house, it was dead silent. You couldn't hear Mr. Stein yelling at himself for not getting something right, nor do you hear Mrs. Stein trying to calm him down..it was just quiet. We headed down to Chase's father's study, Chase peeked his head out the door to see if anyone was down here, but no one was. "It's safe," he said noticing that his dad's car wasn't present.

"So, my dad isn't home right now, thank god, and we can see if we could invent something to..uhh...control your cryo-psychic abilities," Chase was uncertain as to how to say the word. "It's cryokinetic..kri•oh•keh•net•eck, Chase," I said slowly, so he could get the gist of its pronunciation. "Same difference," Chase said walking inside the study, gazing around the different inventions and machines.

I followed him into the study, amazed and intrigued by what I saw, "Woah..your father is an amazing inventor," I said looking at all of them, "Yea, but a dickhead of a father" Chase said pessimistically towards his father. "I totally understand," I said softly, looking down at the floor and then back at the machines. "Is that why your face is all bruised up?" Chase said looking at me, I didn't respond "It's fine, I won't say anything," Chase added, reassuring me.

Same Day{at the Dean's house}
Karolina opened the door to her house and walked inside with Molly following her.

"So is your mom home?" Molly said looking around, "No, she's at Gibborium with my dad, so that gives us enough to snoop around some more" Karolina said, heading up the stairs with Molly, to her mother's room.

Karolina swung open the double doors to her mom's room and gazed around from where she stood, "Okay, let's go," Karolina said rushing inside with Molly right behind her.

"Soooo...what are we looking for exactly," Molly asked looking underneath the bed, but only to find boxes of shoes. "Uhh, her computer maybe or some PRIDE records, that is, if there's any," Karolina replied searching through the drawers, to find anything.

Molly hopelessly threw herself on top of Leslie's bed, "Nothing's here, this was just a waste of-" Before Molly could finish her sentence, a faint buzzing sound came from underneath the pillow Molly was laying on. She lifted herself up and turned around, lifting the pillow up. "That's it, my mom's laptop. I honestly thought she would've had a more sophisticated place to hide it," Karolina said, sitting next to Molly on top of the bed. She pulled the laptop closer to her and opened it, seeing a variety of files she hadn't recognized. "Low battery, that's what that buzzing sound was," Molly said as she looked around the room for a charger.
