3.1:The School

The next day, I awoke to a familiar sound. The Monokuma Morning Announcement was on the screen of my monitor. I decided to ignore the message and went to my bathroom. I grabbed my towel and took my clothes off. I still felt tired even with a night's rest. It was probably the strain on my brain while I had that trial last night. The painful revelation was still taking a toll on me. I showered in my bathroom and wore my clothes. I walked up to my closet and took my used clothes. I carried them out and placed them into the laundry chute outside my room. I walked down the stairs and stretched my muscles as I walked to the canteen. Nothing seemed out of place this day. The salon was still there, JC wasn't in the grass and no new buildings. I entered the canteen to be welcomed by a void of despair. Nobody was talking and the only sounds were the clinking of silverware and flatware. I walked to my chair and sat down. I took my spoon and started to swirl around the egg we had for breakfast. So, this is how this will end, being killed, I thought to myself. I ate my breakfast and stared at the wall. One by one, my classmates left the canteen. I felt the feeling to walk around so I went through the door and head to the park. Why could something like that happen, I thought. As I walked down the stone pathway, I heard a familiar voice calling to me. It was Floyd, he waived his hand as he walked towards me. "Hey I mean this is a bad time to say this but "Be Happy" he said. I let out a small smile which improved my optimism by a bit. "Say, Monomi asked me to water the plants today, want to come with me?" asked Floyd. "Sure" I replied. As we walked we passed by the park, on the benches were Micheal and Carmel sitting down. I gave them a wave but it looked like they didn't see me. We walked on the path heading to the school. We were then welcomed by Monomi.

"Hello students! I may not be as powerful as before but I was able to unlock the school buildings for you. Care to look around and have fun. Also I've given keys to the rooms to the people who has talents that are related to them" she said. "Carol here, have this"she gave me a key that had a book symbol at its butt. "Since you're the Ultimate Bookworm, I'll be giving the library key to you" she said. "Are you sure Monomi? I mean, are you sure you're giving me the entire library" I asked with enthusiasm. "Yes, I'm giving you the library, don't forget to share you're room with the others!" said Monomi as she vanished from our sights.

"Heh, looks like you're "booked" for the rest of the morning. Go ahead, I'll water the plants and head to the library afterwards" said Floyd. I replied with a nod and walked to the nearest school building. I entered the building by using my Digi-ID on the panel. The doors opened up and I went inside. I looked left and right and saw it was just a long corridor. I walked down the right corridor and found out that the building was the classroom building. I looked inside each classroom and saw arranged chairs and no windows. This reminded me of the room that we were in when we arrived on this island. I walked more and found a staircase leading to the next floor. The atmosphere was eerie, the light was dim and there was no wind whatsoever. I walked up the stairs and looked on the next floor. Similar to the first floor, it had a long corridor. I inspected the rooms and saw that they were also classrooms. I went back to where the stairs were and climbed them again. I reached the next level and saw something unnatural at the end of the corridor. There was a door, I walked along the spooky corridor and arrived at the door. I opened it and looked what laid behind it. Behind the door was an iron staircase similar to the emergency staircase at the dorms. Another similarity was that the stairs were still compressed. I walked back to the stairs and along the corridor I saw JC. I walked towards him and I talked to him. "Hey JC, this building is just a classroom building. There's nothing here that seems to be interesting" I said. "Ahh, perfect, this can be a great venue" he said. I didn't understand what he meant so I just gave him a confused look."Venue for what?" I asked. "I can't tell you right now" he said. My mind was fabricating several types of possibilities to what he would have been talking about. My best bet was that it would be another prank. We both headed up the next flight of stairs and found ourselves at a door. There were no more long corridors and no more eerie windless rooms. We opened the door and went beyond it. We found ourselves at the top of the building. It was mostly concrete and there were no tiles. There was railings on the edges and a big water tank on the ground. We walked around the top of the building and looked for anything that looks suspicious or anything that holds significance. The roof was just bare with no other things except the large water tank. We both met up back at the door. JC was already there leaning against the wall and a console in his hand. He looked at me, place his console in his pocket and then we walked back into the building. He asked me what was my intentions on going inside the building. I told him all about what Monomi said and the library key she gave me. "Well maybe after I'll take a rest, I'll go to the library" he said. We went all the way down and out of the classroom building.
