~The Next Day~

Neveah woke up confused that she was in her own bed Sunday morning. That was until she remembered Mr. Fischbach had dropped her off at her house after their night of fun. She groggily sat up and checked her phone to a text from an unknown number. She opened the message, instantly remembering she had given Mr. Fischbach her number in the car on the drive to her place. The message read, 'Remember what I said Ms. Reid. What happened between us must stay between us. I have to admit last night was incredible, but you have to understand I am putting my job at risk by doing such things with one of my students'

Neveah begin typing a response, 'I completely understand sir and you have absolutely nothing to worry about. This is definitely staying between us, but can I ask you something?' She hit send and laid her phone down only having to pick it back up at the sound of him responding almost instantly.

'Ask away.' Is all he said

'Is there any possible chance that this can continue?'

He responded a minute later, 'If you can continue to be an excellent student, then yes. I have no problem giving a student what she wants, as long as she gives me what I want in return.'

'I can promise you getting my work done will never be something you have to worry about sir.' She replied. 'That's absolutely wonderful to hear. Will I be seeing you in class tomorrow Ms. Reid?' He asked.

'Of course Mr. Fischbach, and also speaking of Monday I was wondering if you could give me a heads up on what the next assignment will be?' She asked.

'That's for me to now and you to find out. Giving you an advantage wouldn't be fair to the rest of the class, now would it?'

Neveah read his message and pouted as she thought on how to reply. Before she types the first word he sent another text. 'But since you do you happen to be my favorite student, I'll allow it just this once.' Mr. Fischbach had replied, thus giving Neveah instructions on how to do the upcoming assignment. She grinned at how fast her teacher change his mind.

'Thank you sir. I'll see you in class tomorrow.'

'See you then Ms. Reid.'

Neveah sat her phone down And out of bed, grabbed her school bag, and sat back down and begin doing the assignment Mr. Fischbach had instructed to do. It was a simple reading assignment, where you had to read a specific book and write an essay about it. Even though it was due on Tuesday, she rather do it now then show up to school on Monday without it done, considering he gave her a heads up by letting her know before the rest of the class. The assignment said to write an annotated bibliography on a favorite book, Neveah pondered and turned to look at her big bookshelf.

(I know the movie and the book are not completely alike, but for just this once. Let's pretend they are.)

Her eyes landed on her favorite book, she sprung out of bed and plucked it from the shelf. It was called Divergent; it was about a girl named Tris Prior who lives in a futuristic world in which society is divided into five factions. As each person enters adulthood, he or she must choose a faction and commit to it for life. Each faction thinks one virtue is best Dauntless think bravery is keen, Erudite love knowledge, Abnegation is pro-self-sacrifice, Amity hearts friendship, and Candor is into telling it like it is. Tris grew up in an abnegation family.

When she turned sixteen she decides to join Dauntless, only because she doesn't feel selfless enough to be a good abnegation; and partly because her aptitude test results showed she was Divergent, meaning she doesn't really fit in with any one faction. But joining Dauntless isn't just about showing up and saying "take me". All initiates have to train and compete to get in the faction. Along the way Tris meets a range of people, there are new friends like Al, Will and Christina; and new enemies like Peter and his evil minions; and new teachers like the scary Eric and the hot Four. Neveah has seen the movie and she can gladly agree that the hot four was definitely hot, just about as hot as her English teacher.
