Yet another day at Akademi High, all was normal and at ease, aside from the absence of your friend, Osano. You heard from him yesterday, but mysteriously enough he was missing today. He hasn't even read your texts, and no one else seems to know of his whereabouts. A sigh escaped your lips as you ate your bento alone for once, which felt strangely surreal. Everyone else was going on about their day without a care, all except you. It's like he was never there. Well, at least you didn't have to suffer through his constant shouting and tsundere behaviour... You always found that slightly annoying, compared to a certain someone.
Ayono Aishi. He was attractive, albeit a bit weird acting around you, he certainly treated you much better than Osano. He was always so nice and caring... Oh, and the way he stared at you... Goodness, that stare could kill a man. Osano never liked him though, but you never knew why. You thought back to yesterday when you two were sitting on the rooftop together.

"Honestly, (Y/N), I don't know what you see in that freak! He's so creepy and quiet, have you seen the way he looks at me? Like he's plotting a murder or something!" He griped, his arms crossed as he leaned back on the wall. You sighed and shook your head. "He's not like that, I'm sure of it! Maybe a little socially awkward but I'm sure if you gave him a chance you'd know what I mean. You should see the way he smiles at me, and he always leaves gifts on my desk..." The male scoffed and rolled his eyes, flicking his bangs to the side slightly. "I can do that too, y'know.."
"Huh?"
"N-Nothing! Idiot!"

Speaking of Ayono, you saw him heading this way, that special smile of his spread across his face. You feel yourself brighten up at the sight of him, and you couldn't help but smile back. Though you found yourself missing the ginger that was always at your side, the sadness slowly faded to the back of your mind for now. After all, you had always wanted more time alone with the latter. Osano had a bad habit of killing the mood. You raised your hand and waved at him. "Hi, Yan-Kun!"
~Ayono-Kun's POV~
Today was finally the day I would get to sit and eat with my senpai. Yesterday while that bitchy ginger was on his way home I managed to lure him into an alley. Long story short he's in my basement now, not a threat to my precious little (Y/N) anymore. My smile broadened as I came closer to her, and she seemed overjoyed to see me. The feeling I get when she smiles is ecstasy. My heart is fluttering, it's as if I have been blessed by a goddess. Simply being near her is enough to cure the sickness inside of me. This filthy taint of emptiness, it sickens me. But now that she's here it's been wiped away by her hand.
"Good afternoon, (Y/N)-san." She giggled and waved her hand dismissively. "Oh, please, just call me (Y/N)! No need to be so formal!" My heart skipped a beat at those words. How could I not be? It only makes sense that someone like her is put above myself. I would do as told though, this privilege honours me... "Hah, if you say so, (Y/N)." Her name alone was enough to make my heart jump. She pat the empty seat next to her. "Come on, don't just stand there. Have a seat." I did as told and sat next to her, our thighs side by side. Her frame was so small compared to mine, which I found quite adorable. Her legs were neatly crossed, her soft, small fingers grasping her chopsticks. Her (E/C) eyes shimmered as they stared into mine, and her (H/L) (H/C) hair always seemed to fall into the perfect position. And her (S/C) skin... Oh, her (S/C) skin... So enticing, so tender and untouched...
"So, Ayono, how have you been?" I rubbed the back of my head sheepishly, my smile unwavering. "I've been quite well, you?" Who in their right mind could care about how I'm doing? How could they when someone as angelic as her is here? "Good, good... Anyways, I'm glad you're here, things are pretty lonely without Osano..." The corners of my mouth twitched for a moment. The mere mention of his name invoked bitterness in me. I never knew what she saw in him. He was unworthy, scum, disgusting. All he ever did was disrespect her and think of himself. Someday, she'll come to appreciate what I'll do to him. "Ah, sorry to hear. Well, I hope I'll be a good enough replacement for the time being." Oh, the things I'll do to him when I get home. He'll rue the day he first looked at (Y/N). "You're too kind... I don't know why you'd want to spend time with me though... There are plenty of other girls who would love to, you know..."
How could she say that about herself? "(Y/N), both you and I know that no girl in this school compares to you! You're beautiful and kind, and you think everyone deserves a chance! You are like a queen to me, so merciful and compassionate that your very aura makes me want to bow down to you, have you any idea how you make me feel?!" My hands had grasped hers and pulled her close, my eyes wide as I caught my breath. Another outburst... How stupid of me...
"A-... Ayono-kun..."
~(Y/N)'s POV~
I was speechless. Ayono Aishi, top of his class, strikingly handsome, and silver-tongued Ayono Aishi had just confessed to me... But why? I stared into his crazed eyes, my hands in his, frozen in place. It was like this for a few seconds before his grip loosened and he began to pull away, but I tugged his hands back. "N-No, please..! You... You don't have to..." I sat up straight, not caring about the bento that had fallen off my lap. "I... I feel the same way, Yan-Kun..." He gazed into my eyes for a long while, his face red and his eyes glazed over as if he were getting lost in mine. "(Y/N), you really mean that?" His slender fingers weaved between mine, and I returned the favour. "With all my heart." His smile somehow managed to get wider before he swiftly leaned in to kiss me. A surge of excitement coursed through my body that started from my lips, sparks had flown and my heart was thumping against my chest. It was like it was only us...
Until Midori snapped a photo, that is...
"Aww! (Y/N)-chan! You two are so cute together!" I quickly tugged away from the kiss to shoot her befuddled and slightly irritated look. Yan-Kun took a moment to regain his senses and did the same. "Ah, sorry, you guys go ahead and continue your thing, I'll just uh... Email Yandere Dev! Yeah, that!" She hurried off and I let out a huff of annoyance. Things were quiet for a little while until Ayono finally spoke. "So, (Y/N)-chan... Since I made you drop your lunch that means I owe you some... Would you mind if I took you out for some after school?"
"No, not at all."
And with that, the bell rang, and (after cleaning up the bento) we headed our separate ways for class.
