THOMAS:
You sat on his back, the wind gracefully hitting your face as he chugged through the beautiful green hills. The air smelt of fresh spring grass and rain, and for once, you felt good. The blue engine beneath you made you both nervous and excited. After a quick introduction, neither of you had said much.
"Thank you so much. I am always so bad at catching the train it seems." You stated, hoping he would hear over the constant choo chooing.
"No problem my dear," He pulled his head away from the rails to look back at you. "Not to pry, but your day doesn't seem to be going the best."
Instantly your eyes were pooled with painful tears as memories came flying back.
Three hours earlier:
"Hey baby cakes..." Danny, your now ex boyfriend took a drag of his cheap cigarette. His dark bangs fell over his red contact eyes. "I'm dating Saphire now..."
"HOW!?!?!" You spit some of your Hot Topic Candy blood all over the swing set. "I was only gone for two weeks!!!!"
"You just ain't doing it for me, love. Face it. She has thicker eyeliner than you, and when was the last time you even got your zebra stripes touched up?" He flicked his cigarette bud into the playground rocks. "And Zane says he saw you having FUN the other day. I just can't be with someone who doesn't share the same dark misery as me."
"PLEASE! I'm sorry! I wasn't even having fun! Truly I wasn't! It's just my favorite Fifth Harmony song came on-" Your cheeks went bright red. FUCK. You had just confessed your darkest secret.
"See? It's like you're not even emo anymore. Not even in a constant state of dread. You're just another happy robot sheep." He said, glancing up from his emo kids fashion magazine. "Go take your happiness and PISS OFF."
Without another word you grabbed your things and ran.
Present:
"Well for starers the love of my life just left me for some seventh grade slut." You yell, still somewhat enraged.
"Well, if he left a girl as thick as you," Thomas said, looking back again to check you out up and down. "He definitely wasn't the love of your life."
"What do you know about love? You're just a train."
Thomas instantly slammed on his breaks, lurching you forward a bit. "Everyone thinks they know me. They think all I do is shunt trucks and haul freights. I'm just a train..." A giant tear rolled down his large round cheek and created a loud splash upon his feet. "I'm not just a train. I'm a man. I have a heart. I have dreams..."
"I- I- I am so sorry. I never would've thought-"
"That a train could have some DAMN FEELINGS?!"
"I just never thought that I could catch feelings-" You pause. You're now standing in front of him, cupping his sad face. "For a train."
He leans and presses his large train lips against yours. The world stops and suddenly you're no longer an emo girl with no heart. Your heart glows. It races. It jumps from your chest and finds itself in the ownership of a large and sexy tank engine.
