Samantha - How have you been?
Jack - Fine, you?
Samantha - Pretty good, I've been getting a lot of hours working.. so that's nice.
Jack - Cool....
Sarah looks like she's about to kill me and Danial but at the same time she looks like she is sweating and has butterflies in her stomach.
Elise - Have you guys worked on any new songs?
Jack - a couple, but I don't think there that good. We- it's- Well since me and- never mind.
Danial - So Sarah, how's your shop going?
Sarah - My what?
Danial - Your surf shop thing.
Sarah - Oh, what about it?
Danial - Is it doing ok?
Sarah - Yeah it's fine.
Finally our food comes and everyone is quiet, we all just eat our food. I can tell Danial is starting to think this was a bad idea. Just then Jack looks at Samantha
Jack - Can I talk to- Can I talk to you like over there?
He points to a little hallway leading to the bathrooms.
Samantha - Sure.
They get up and walk over there.
Sarah - What movie are we seeing?
Danial - You still wanna see it?
Sarah - Yeah, why wouldn't I?
Danial - Well- no reason.
Just then Samantha and Jack come back.
Jack - Were gonna get going.
Sarah - What about the movie?
Jack - We wanna talk alone, maybe figure some things out. See you all later.
And with that they left.
Zach - Bet there gonna get back together.
Sarah - There a cute couple, I'm happy for Samantha.
We get up and drive to the theater, Sarah goes with me and Zach goes with Danial
Elise - Look, I'm sorry if this-
Sarah - No, Elise. It's perfectly fine. I want to talk to Zach about something.
Elise - Oh, ok.
We get our tickets and some pop corn. Zach tries to sit by Sarah but Sarah sits the end seat and has me sit next to her. After the movie, while all the names of the cast are on the screen Sarah goes over to Zach.
Sarah - I need to tell you something.
Zach - I think I should probably tell you something as well...
Sarah - You can go first.
Zach takes a deep breath then looks at her.
Zach - I like you Sarah. It was stupid of me to go and kiss that girl. Then for you to date that guy and- it was all stupid and I would like to take you out on a date...
Sarah looks shocked and uncomfortable.
Sarah - The thing is, Zach.... I think we should just be friends.... for at least right now! I don't want a relationship right now and- I'm sorry.
She gets up and runs down the stairs and out the theater doors. Zach starts to follow her but I grab his arm.
Elise - Maybe you should take being friends... I know it's not what you want but if Sarah doesn't want a boyfriend right now, being friends could be your best bet. Plus once you two get to know each other better, you might end up becoming a couple.
Zach - I- I just want to go home.
Danial gets up and kisses me goodbye. Then they both leave. I go and find Sarah
Sarah - I really hope he understands.
Elise - I'm sure he will.
We drive home and then get a text from Samantha
Samantha - Be home soon, Jack is taking me for ice cream then taking me home. I'll tell you all about our night once I get home.
Me and Sarah change into our pajamas and watch some tv. When Samantha gets home she runs to the couch and starts talking
Samantha - While we where in the hall way at the cafe he told me that he missed me and was sorry for how things ended between us. Then he said we could just take things slow but he misses me. I told him that we should hang out just the two of us instead of going to the movies. We just walked around downtown and went into a few stores, he bought me a necklace!
She grabs her necklace that's around her neck, it's shiny rose gold color with a roses all on the chain.
Samantha - Then we went into a mirror maze and got ice cream.
Sarah - Sounds like fun... I going to go to sleep.
Samantha - Yeah, I'm going to too. Good night.
They both go upstairs and I watch some cake wars then fall asleep on the couch.
