"I need a drink..." she told you as she sat down at the island. You stopped your cutting of the veggies and looked at you.
"My wife? Need a drink? May I know what happened to make you need a drink?" You ask with a chuckle, but Alexis rolls her eyes at you. "Okay, I'm sorry, what happened though?"
"People being idiots at work, and then dad, y'know." You nod and take her hand.
"How about I run you a bath before dinner, pour you some wine, then we can cuddle on the couch with dinner while we bawl over chick-flicks?" She gives you a small smile and you lean forward to kiss her softly.
"What would I do without you?" She asks with a smile. You give her a smirk and lick your lips.
"Crash and burn." You laugh as you walk away, Alexis quickly walking after you with a smile.
