*Aubrey*
It's the summer going into 10th grade. Mom is grabbing the last box out of the moving truck. "Aubrey can you please take this one up to your room?" I take the box up to my new room and attempt to unpack. I hook up my phone to my speaker and put my playlist on shuffle. As I start to unpack my favorite song comes on by 5 SOS. I start dancing and sing along to "Good Girls". I get beside my window and stop instantly. I see this boy standing in his front yard looking at me. I instantly feel embarrassed and walk away from my window. That was weird. Why in the world would he be looking at me? It's like he hasn't seen a teenage girl dance around and sing a song with their favorite band! I finally get done packing, and if I do say so myself, I did a fabulous job. My mom calls me down for dinner. "Aubrey are you excited about starting school next week?" I take a bite of my chicken and say, "Mom, I'm fine. It's not that big of a deal. I'm use to it by now." My little sister who is only 5 starts talking about how she's excited about starting kindergarten. Then my brother who's going into 9th grade starts talking about how it's not a big deal because we aren't staying long this time. My mom clears her throat and says, "About that, I've been meaning to tell y'all that this might be our new home... forever." After dinner I go up to my room and go on twitter. There's nothing really interesting on there so I decide to go to sleep.
Next Morning
I get up and see a note on the counter. It reads:
"Hey sweetie your brother and sister went with me to do some work at the office. See you later. Here's $20 for lunch. Love you Bre!
-xoxo mommy"
Well it looks like I'm gonna be alone today. I are breakfast and then went upstairs to take a shower and get ready. I put on a pair of black shorts, a white tank top with a black leather pocket, and my black Toms. As I walk out the door I see that same guy that watched me dance around my room last night. He stops and stares at me again. He stops raking the yard and looks at me. All of a sudden he drops the rake and starts walking over to me. What in the world?! What if he's a serial killer? Oh my goodness! He walks up to my driveway and says, "Hey. I'm Jason. I see you're new here. I'm your neighbor." I introduce myself back to him, "Hey I'm Aubrey. It's nice to meet you Jason." Jason has light brown hair and these gorgeous blue eyes. He's built but not body builder like. He's got this mysterious vibe about him. "Well Aubrey what school are you going to go to?" Well isn't he just nosy. "I'm going to Jefferson High. I'm going into the 10th grade." A broad smile appears on his face. "That's so cool. I got there and that's the grade I'm going into." Greaaat just great. I go to a school with a serial killer that's my neighbor. Perfect. "Well I just wanted to introduce myself to this new neighbor of mine. I'll see ya around sometime?" "Sure." What was I suppose to say? No? Was I suppose to just send him away? Ugh curse my southern belle side coming out!*Jason*
Aubrey. What can I say other than she's so beautiful. He has the longest, softest, brown hair I have ever seen. Her eyes are this medium brown color with green flakes in them. She looks like a model. She's defiantly not from around here. No one has a southern accent here. I saw her last night singing and dancing around in her room. She's so care free! I defiantly want to get to know her.

I got into my car shortly after that "exciting" talk with Jason. He's just so mysterious. I swear he's like half vampire or something! Just kidding but for real this is strange! Okay I need to stop thinking about him. I turn on the radio and of course Beyoncé is on. I instantly turn into my sassy alter ego Queen Bre. I pull into this tiny frozen yogurt shop and help myself to this fabulous self serving heaven. I get vanilla and chocolate frozen yogurt with cookie dough on top. I pay the lady and walk back to my car. As I walk back to my car some psycho almost hits me with their motorcycle. The worst part is I spilled my frozen yogurt all over the road. I do my one finger salute to this frozen yogurt killing guy. He turns around and parks his bike. I panic. Oh lord. Please don't let him kill me. I quickly walk to my car and all of a sudden I hear behind me, "Aubrey?" I stopped in my tracks. It was Jason. I turn around and give him full attitude. "Well looky here! My neighbor also happens to be a frozen yogurt killer." He just smiles and says, "I'm sorry would you like me to buy you another one?" Maybe that wouldn't be so bad. "Fine." Hey now it's free frozen yogurt why pass that up? We walk back in the frozen yogurt shop and I get a bigger size than my original one was. I got the same stuff in it though. He got vanilla with cookie crumbles in it. We sat down at a table and ate our frozen yogurt. "So Aubrey what do you want to do after high school?" Hold up seriously? Is this guy for real? "I plan on going to college and getting a degree in my major and adopting kids." "Why adoption? Don't you want to have kids of your own?" I got this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. "I don't think I'll be able to." "Why?" "Because I don't believe in love and I surely don't ever want to get married." This confused look crossed his face. "Well Miss Aubrey if you don't mind me asking why don't you believe in love and why don't you want to get married?" I let out a sigh. "Since I was a little girl I've seen nothing but broken marriages and hatred between spouses. When I was little my "Father", if you can even call that jerk one, ran around on my mom with some home wrecker. They got a divorce and he hasn't talked to me since. He only calls me on my birthday. He doesn't even talk to my brother anymore. When I was 6 my mom married this one guy who seemed perfect I mean my mom had my sister with this guy, but shortly after that he ran around on her too and she left him. It's been us for 5 years now." He looks at me as if he pity's me. "I don't want your pity. I honestly could care less. It's the past and I have to move on." All he can say is, "I'm so sorry."
*Jason*
Wow. She sure has been through a lot. I know I have my personal battles but that right there is hard. I feel so bad for her. "Come with me." I tell her. "Hahaha are you kidding? I barely know you." She says. "That's true, but Aubrey I was honestly just taking you to the lake. I promise I'm not a serial killer." Her face relaxes some. "Fine, but I'll drive myself." I can't help but smile. We finally get to the lake and it's as beautiful as ever. The grass is green and the fish are jumping. "Aubrey I want to ask you a question." She smiles, "Heck no it's my turn to ask questions. What made you decide to come and introduce yourself to me?" Well this girl just gets right down to business. "Well see I heard y'all were these weird aliens from Mars so I decided to check it out for myself." I give her a wink. "Just kidding. I saw this beautiful girl that was so beautiful that I had to meet her or I would just die." She laughs and says, "You're so dramatic."
