David's POV

It has been 6 hours of Liza in surgery. Then finally a doctor came out.

I quickly sat up.

"How is she?" I said.

"She's doing fine.. we just don't know how to replace the blood she lost." The doctor said.

I looked down.

"But some extra sleep should help the blood settle in." The doctor said.

"Can I go see her?" I asked.

The doctor nodded. I walked calmly into the empty room and Liza hooked up to a dozen machines.

I sat on the edge of the bed.

"Hey." I said to her.

"I really miss you."

I talked to her as if she was actually there. Why does this have to happen. To Liza, the one thing I care most about.

I held her hand.

"Please don't leave me." I said.

All of a sudden I got a right squeeze on my hand.

Then the heart rate started going up and the machine causing a loud noise. About four nurses ran into the room and a doctor showed me to the exit.

"No!" I yelled.

I started crying again.

"Liza don't go." I cried.

I fell asleep In the chair I was sitting in then I got woken up by a doctor.

"So Liza's all better now.. she only was having an attack. She can hear things but can't do things." The doctor said.

"Is it going to be like that forever." I asked.

"Nope we can get her off that medication and she'll be good as new." The doctor said.

I walked into the room and saw Liza just sitting.

I held her hand again. Then kissed it. Her chest started moving up and down. I started to freak out.

Then she gripped on to my hands. Her eyes opened up slowly.

"David." Liza said.

"Liza!" I yelled.

I kissed her and gave her a huge hug.

A tear rolled down my cheek onto her hospital gown.

Liza wrapped her arms around me.

"I've been here for two days." I said.

"You didn't leave?" Liza asked.

"Fuck no." I said.

I have Liza another kiss.

"Okay I'm going to go back to my house. I'll grab you clothes and I have to shower." I said.

"Okay." Liza said.

"I'll be back in an hour." I said.

I gave Liza a kiss then walked out of the door.

Liza's POV

So that whole week was just crazy. I can't believe this happened.

A doctor came in.

"Ms. Elizabeth Koshy?" The doctor asked.

"Yes sir." I said.

"You have a visitor."

Then Alex walked in.

"Are you Okay?" Alex asked.

I nodded.

"It should've been me." He said.

"Don't say that." I said.

"Well definitely not you." Alex said.

"Not you either!" I yelled.

Alex gave me a hug.

"Liza I really want to be with you." Alex said.

"Alex I'm dating your best friend." I said.

"I understand that but I could treat you so much better!" Alex said.

I shook my head.

"Alex with all do respect me and David has gone through a lot." I said.

"I understand that—" I cut him off before he could speak again.

"Well clearly you don't Alex or you wouldn't be here!" I said.

"I-I'm sorry." He said.

"It's fine. I'll talk to you when I get out.. okay?" I said

Alex nodded then gave me a kiss on the cheek.
