Chapter 3 - Mina

Another fine day in the morning. Sunny got up from her soft bed and rubbed her eyes, her vision blurry as usual. She took her glasses from beside her bed and put it on. Sunny headed to the washroom to wash up. She cups her hands under the tap and splashed her face with the water. She then took her toothbrush, squeezed a small amount of toothpaste on it and rinsed it with water, then started brushing her teeth. Out of nowhere, her phone notification popped out. Katalk. She wondered who it was. She never really had friends.
Kai: Hii~~Morning~~
Kai? Who is that?

Sunny left the person on read and locked her phone, ignoring him. She continues brushing, wishy washy wishy washy. Notifications kept flooding in. Katok. Ding. Whistle. She was instantly annoyed. They were all from this guy called Kai. She decided to go on Kakao and reply to this guy.

"Who are you?"

"I am JongIn! Haha" the guy replied.

Sunny blushed. She bit on her toothbrush and held her phone replying faster than the speed of light.
"G-Good morning!"

"Look outside" he texted.

Sunny washed up and ran to her room. She winded her blind folds and drew her windows up. JongIn was outside!
JongIn jumped in joy and waved like a little kid. Oh how cute and gorgeous. He looked like a King without a crown, skin precious like treasury gold, glowing cheeks. He could be an idol! I stood there dumbfounded.

Just when I realised what I was doing, I held my hands up hesitantly to greet him. How did he know where I lived? And my phone number? I quickly rinsed off and changed into my uniform then left immediately.

I opened the door and it banged onto JongIn. "OW!" he whined. My jaw dropped. Did I just hurt JongIn? His fangirls are going to kill me! "I didn't know the door swings this way... Haha!" he laughed awkwardly while holding on to his nose.

JongIn POV
"Haha.." I laughed awkwardly. Just then she reached for the pocket in her skirt. I wonder what she's trying to get? Every move she makes gets me so curious. Oh. It's a plaster. She removed the sides of the plaster and pasted it onto my nose. It has cartoon prints on it. I never knew Sunny could be this cute! Actually what am I thinking about. I'm arranged to marry a girl. I don't really like the girl I'm arranged with, but if I'm forced to, I can't help it.

I took out my phone without thinking and had it faced towards me and Sunny. "Cheese" I said. Sunny looked at me. Her eyes widened. She's so cute when she does that. She hit me on my chest, then 'educated' me on how I should learn to respect her privacy. I get it, I guess.

Her question then hit me.

"How did you get my number?"
"How did you know where I lived?"

I had to come up with an excuse. I couldn't say that I'm allowed to do anything I wish because I agreed to the arranged marriage and paid some guy using my parent's money for Sunny's info. I had to tell her a lie.

"I'm a really good hacker! So good that I hacked my games and scored first place globally"

She scoffed and walked towards the school's direction. Just when she walked to a corridor, I spotted someone. Kim JongDae. Is he following her? Why does he live near her? So many things I'm curious about. How did this even start anyway?

Narrating POV
Sunny walked towards school. She spotted someone at the school gate, waiting for someone. It was Mina. This time, her hair's blonde brown and she had butterfly clips on her french braid. Her mascara longer than ever. She doubted that they're even waterproof. One push into the swimming pool and she can say buh-bye to her fame!

Sunny ignored her and walked into school. Mina stopped her and grabbed her wrist. She saw JongIn behind and decided faking how she is. "Hey JongIn! Can I speak with Sunny for a moment?" She said with a smile as phoney as a traitor. JongIn nodded and she dragged Sunny to the garden fountain.

"Long time no see, Little Sunny" she twisted Sunny's hair with her fingers. "Filthy" Sunny said under her breath. Mina heard her and stepped on her shoes immediately. "Bet you're so poor you can't even afford new white shoes, Can you?" she mocked. She kept twisting her foot on Sunny's dirty grey shoes. JongIn looked from the school gate. He knew something wasn't right.

JongIn frowned and ran towards Sunny. "What's going on?" JongIn asked Mina nicely while he still can. "J-JongIn... Sunny just kicked me!" She cried. How could someone be so fake? Sunny rolled her eyes and sighed. She picked her bag up and walked away as fast as she could. JongIn followed, grab her hand and sped up.

Mina smirked evilly.

They settled infront of the School's gym room. "Believe what you want, No one believed me anyway" Sunny said, ready to leave. Just when she took a step away, JongIn grabbed her wrist and pulled her back, embraced her in his muscly arms. "I know why, two days of observing and I already know so much. I'll protect you no matter what, just call my name, Okay?"

"What name. JongIn or Kai?" I joked.

"You..." He said, embarrassed because he only liked the name Kai.
