I stood up and backed away from Thomas. "What the hell do you mean?"

"You're a true alpha." He remarked

"No! I'm not! Scott is, how on earth could I be!?" I snapped at him

Thomas looked at me suspiciously, "who's Scott?"

I ignored his question and began pacing, "and what about my pack? Or the alpha of the pack that I should be in?"

He sounded more serious this time, "Joanna, what pack? Who is Scott?"

I took my gaze off the floor and looked at the lockers, "Skylar. That's her name, Skylar..."

"Joanna! Who the hell is Skylar!?"

I ignored him again, "But if she is our alpha, how could I be a true alpha?"

"Because you don't belong in her pack! Now tell me," he stared at me. "Who is Scott, Skylar, and what packs are you talking about?"

I looked at Thomas in shock, "I never told you, did I?"

"I've only known you for a few weeks."

"Scott is the one who bit me. He's my ex-boyfriend..."

"Oh. Why did you break up?" He replied quietly

"He found someone else." There was a long pause after that. I had to get off the topic, and rid Scott and Skylar from my racing brain. Before I drove myself insane, I began talking again, "so Thomas, what do you prefer to be called?"

"Thomas, why?"

"Well I've decided I should give you a nickname, or something. What's your middle name?"

"Thomas," he mentioned

"Interesting. And your last name?.... Wait... What's your real name then?"

"My middle name is Thomas, and my last name is Davidson. Unfortunately, if I told you my first name I would have to kill you."

I rolled my eyes and began walking away, "yeah, yeah, whatever. You shall forever be known as, 'Thomas: the lame-o who won't tell me his real name."

.

He stumbled after me, "what's your full name then? Sense we're on the topic."

"If I told you I'd have to kill you!" I yelled as I took off running down the hall way

"Hey! No fair, you got a head start!" He hollered as he tried to reach me.

Days turned into weeks, and eventually Thomas earned his spot on the lacrosse team.

One misty evening, we were walking home from school; first to my house then his. "Well, thank for walking me home."

"Yeah, no problem," Thomas replied shyly

"So I'll see you at school tomorrow?" I asked

Thomas let you a small laugh, "tomorrow is Saturday."

"Right... well, bye Thomas."

I walked up the steps of my porch, in the door, shut it behind me and closed my eyes. 'dammit' I thought, 'I should have at least hugged him... something'

The sudden creaking noise on over my head ended my thoughts. 'mom and dad are both at work' I thought to myself.

"Hello?" maybe I was just loosing it. I made my way upstairs and toward my bedroom.

A sharp pain filled my left side as I screamed and fell to the floor, holding my rib cage. suddenly the room fell black. A tall shadowy figure above me was the last thing I remembered.
