It had been mind blowing to hear how there existed another world hidden from mortal eyes but what bothered Percy more was, if he took part in this adventure, then he would be entering a whole new world, a world of magic, and he would be in a situation where he knew nothing more about anything, than he did on his first adventure, or when he had met Carter and Sadie Kane's, uncovering Egyptian myths. Now he was on the verge of entering another new universe. He had a feeling, that once he did this Patron Charm thing, he would be sealing his fate for another adventure. But then again, Piper was taken. Anyone who could even dare to kidnap a member of the seven could be a serious threat to anyone. So as a crazy guy, he did the crazy thing. He volunteered to the magic spell thing. Neel said
"Excellent, first let's do the pledge. I Neel Retcher demigod son of Hecate, invoke the blessing of the mistress of the mist upon these demigods. They shall be able to control and manipulate the barrier between the worlds, while respecting and following the Ancient Law." But the time he had finished the pledge, the temperature in the room dropped a few degrees. "Be careful of your power demigods." Said Neel "the knowledge of magic is a gift. Cherish it. Now you will have the knowledge of both the Hecation magic and wizarding magic. Use the gift wisely. And now Percy Jackson will demonstrate a Patronus charm for us! All you have to do, is concentrate on your happiest memory, and say Expecto Patronum."" That's it? " he asked and Neel nodded. He relaxed, this was going to be easy. He thought of the time he saw Mom, at Smelly Gabe's apartment, alive and smiling, and said Expecto Patronum. The words came louder than he expected and right in front of his eyes, he saw a pegasus made of silver vapor, Blackjack maybe, materialized out of thin air and started galloping around the room. Neel exclaimed, "Bravo Percy. You got it in your first attempt!" He grinned. This magic stuff wasn't so hard after all. Maybe he could fit in. Then all the others tried the charm. Frank's Patronus was a snake and Hazels was a German Shepard.Annabeths was an owl (which is a no brainer) and Jason got it on his fifth attempt It was an eagle. After they all were done, Neel said "great job guys. Now let's get you some wands. For you guys, if you just say the spell which you want in Latin or Ancient Greek you would be able to do the spell. Let's make some mistform wands for you.

Now, Percy knew nothing about magic. So when he learnt that you could conjure objects and the like from crude drawings made on paper. " But that's perfect!" Percy yelled " We could conjure supplies, tents, weapons, Ferraris and even people. "Percy, it doesn't work like that. The difficulty of the magic increases with the complexity of the object. You can't conjure a Ferrari without a knowledge about cars. And most wizards are only able summon something rather than summoning out of thin air....
