Somin gathered the Red Lotus and her men in the living room to go over the file on her mother's death,
"As I've said, my father always told me her death was an accident. I didn't believe him but I never had any solid information to go off of that would contradict his claim. It was all just hearsay. In the police file about her death, it says that her car was blown up with her in the driver's seat. The blast originated from underneath the car. The toxicology report indicates that she had chloroform in her system. Since chloroform is highly traceable in the body, whoever did this knew that there would be no way to trace this to them specifically. They also knew it was a guaranteed way to render her unconscious quickly."
She turned to Namjoon,
"Do you know if my mother had a chauffeur?"
"She did, as a matter of fact. Although we discovered that, on that particular day, he was not the one who picked her up. When we went to go find him we found him dead in his apartment. Gunshot wound to his left temple."
Somin nodded slowly in understanding,
"So my mother got into the car of her own volition. I'd hazard a guess and say that whomever drugged her was in the car with her as well."
"Couldn't she have been drugged before entering the car?"
Sehun interjected. Somin shook her head,
"No, probably not. If you see someone come up behind someone else, place a rag over their mouth, and forcefully drag them into a car you're going to do something. No, she was drugged after she entered the car."
Somin concluded before turning back to Namjoon,
"Did anything happen that day that wasn't in the report?"
The blonde mobster crossed his arms in thought before responding,
"It's possible. Your father didn't talk about it much and it was before our time. He hired me and my boys after it happened. Said he wanted a clean slate and got rid of his previous men. I can only assume he killed them."
"He probably did. My father didn't like to leave loose ends."
Namjoon nodded in agreement before Yoongi spoke up,
"He drove himself everywhere. The only time he didn't drive is if one of us was driving."
The others murmured in agreement. Somin leaned back in her chair and thought about what they had said.
Ring Ding Dong
Suddenly, the doorbell rang, surprising everyone in the room. Namjoon and his men each pulled out a pistol and made their way to the entryway. Suho and Kai looked out of the windows,
"Clear."
They whispered down the hall to Namjoon,
"Clear."
He replied, still keeping his gun out. Somin slowly opened the door. No one was there, but there was a medium sized cardboard box on the doorstep. She carefully picked it up and brought it inside, setting it down on the Creme colored low table in the living room. The others gathered around her,
"It isn't heavy so I'm pretty sure it isn't a bomb. It's addressed to me."
Somin said, reaching into her back pocket to pull out her plum colored switchblade. She sliced the masking tape over the top flaps of the box and pulled them open. Taeyung was the first to speak,
"What's in the box?"
Somin didn't respond as she pulled out a pair of black Armani designer men's shoes,
