Somin awoke the next morning to the sound of 'Dramarama' by MONSTA X playing on her phone alarm. She hit 'stop' and slowly got out of bed, making her way to her adjoining bathroom to brush her teeth and get ready to meet the other 19 men in her home. She went to her closet and put on a pair of black leggings and a baby blue v-neck before leaving my room and descending the stairs to the dining room. When she arrived, she found that Luhan and Tao had returned and were eating breakfast with the others. Somin entered the room and spoke to them,
"Where are Kris and the others?"
She questioned curiously. Luhan responded promptly,
"Kris sent me and Tao back to deliver something to you. We went to one of the contacts as you instructed. He was a business affiliate of your fathers. It turns out you father had dealings with an import/export company in San Francisco, California."
Tao handed her the papers that contained all the business dealings her father had with the company. As Somin flipped through it, she saw something intriguing,
"Twenty-five years ago they stopped all business transactions practically overnight. It looks like they had a very lucrative deal going, so why would my father suddenly pull out?"
Luhan shrugged as Tao responded,
"No idea. Kris and Lay went to one of the other contacts, and Xiumin and Chen also went to a contact. We thought it would be best to divide and conquer."
Somin nodded,
"Good idea guys. Thank you for bringing me this. I think it'll help. I'm going to go over the evidence report of my mother's file."
Jimin brought the file over to Somin as she sat down at the table. The others began talking idly as Somin looked over the evidence report. Suddenly, she stood up from the table and sprinted up the stairs to her father's room. The others scrambled to follow her and finally arrived to find her sitting in the walk in closet. She held the evidence report tightly in her hand, along with the red Prada pumps. Jungkook was the first to speak to her,
"Somin? Are you alright?"
His tone was gentle as he called out to her, seeing as he didn't want to anger the young woman. Somin didn't turn as she responded,
"The one thing my father always told me about my mother is that she always wanted to look professional so she would be taken seriously, and she coordinated her outfits. The day she died, my mother was wearing a wine red long sleeved dress, black tights, and a black purse. The odd part is her shoes."
"Her shoes?"
Baekhyun asked,
"Yes. The shoes that were found, or what was left of them, were oversized brown loafers."
Somin turned around and looked at the men, anger in her eyes as she held up the Prada pumps,
"Don't you think these go better with a red dress?"
No one spoke as the men processed her implication. Finally, Suho spoke,
"Do you mean to say that your father received those pumps the day-"
"My mother died? Yes. That's exactly what I'm implying."
Fury and pain lurked in her eyes as Somin looked down at the red pumps. Suho motioned for his men to leave. Namjoon nodded at Suho while his men followed them out along with Tao and Luhan, leaving Suho alone with Somin. He slowly went into the walk in closet and sat down next to her. Tentatively, he placed an arm around her shoulder and pulled her close to him. He knew that all of this was taking a toll on the young girl and attempted to comfort her. To his surprise, Somin leaned into his half-embrace, pulling him into a hug and burying her face in his chest. When she spoke her voice was soft and slightly broken,
"I know I'm supposed to be the strong one but right now this is all hitting so fast... I never was allowed to mourn my mother and now I can barely mourn my father..."
She trailed off as silent tears streamed down her face. Suho held her close to him and tried to provide some semblance of comfort to her. He knew this was unprofessional but she reminded him of himself many years ago, and he did not want her to cry alone as he had. He held her in his arms and stroked her hair softly. When he spoke to her his tone was softer than she thought he could speak,
"When I was younger, my home was broken into. The man who did it threatened my mother and father with a gun. He wanted money. My mother wanted to give it to him but my father refused. He tried to fight the man and was shot. My mother went to my father and she was shot as well. The man turned to me and said that I had two choices: die or come with him. I was only seven at the time and I was scared. I went with him and joined his gang. I was a slave to the others until I was able to form a gang of my own, the Red Lotus, and overpower him. I killed him and all his men. It took me over ten years to finally do that."
Suho looked down at the fragile girl in his arms, unsure of why he was telling her this and why he was letting his guard down. The raven haired male wasn't sure if this was the best idea, but somehow he felt telling her all of this would comfort her,
"I never had the opportunity to mourn my parents. You should have the opportunity to mourn yours."
Somin smiled slightly at him and wiped a tear from his eye,
"You're crying."
She whispered gently to him. He reached up and felt wetness on his cheek. Somin held him tightly in her arms before he can respond,
"It's okay. We can mourn together right now."
She whispered again. To her surprise, he held her close and whispered a word of agreement to her as they sat in her father's walk in closet, crying for those they had lost.
