Chapter 3

Selena POV

Louis and I were making our way the dining area until Harry appears out of nowhere, making us jump slightly at his appearance.

"Harry! Don't scare us like that!"

"I'm sorry! Mother is just on my case, that's all" he rolled his eyes, fixing his blazer and follows us to the dining room before finding our father, mother, and Ariana with the Payne family.

"Ah, there they are! Children, come say hello to the Paynes" my mother smiles widely, motioning us to greet the Paynes politely.

The Paynes have three children, two daughters and one son. There was the oldest Nicola, middle child Ruth, and the youngest which I happen to be engaged to, Liam.

Liam turns around, facing me as he lets out a smirk, walking over to me and takes my hand.

"Hello my love" he greeted, holding my hand up and kissing it.

"Hey" I smirked nicely, where are the sparks to that?

I know I could feel the smile that my mother had on her face, this is what she arranged without my say into this. But then again, I would have never found true love anyways because I was trapped here.

"How you been?"

"Fine, and you?" I respond to Liam's question, he turns beside me, wrapping his arm around my waist as we take a walk out of the dining room.

"I'm better now that I'm here with my lovely fiancé" he said, turning to me as he sighs happily and smiles at me.

"You look stunning"

"Thank you, so do you"

And he did, to be honest. He was wearing a creme colored suit with matching dress pants, with a gray button up shirt, followed by his brown shoes.

I would be lying if I said Liam wasn't attractive, because he is. But like I said before, he just doesn't give me that feeling of love I've been hoping for.

"We have four more months till our wedding day, then you'll finally be my wife"

"And you be my husband, like how every wedding goes"

"Exactly" he said, leaning over as we peck each other on the lips.

"Hey! Lovebirds!" we both turned as we find Harry, holding Gracie in his arms.

"Hey Gracie!" I smiled, cooing her as she looks at me and let's out a smile while she was feeling on Harry's curls.

"Not the curls" Harry chuckled, gently pulling her hand down as he turns his attention back to us.

"It's dinner time, not smooching time"

"It was just one kiss, lay off" I scolded at him as he rolls his eyes.

"I'm just saying, I'm holding a baby here!" Harry shouts innocently, carefully holding up Gracie in the air as she shrieks of excitement, clapping her tiny hands together while kicking out her tiny chubby legs.

"Whatever, let's go then" I sighed, wrapping my arm around Liam's as we make our way towards the kitchen.

"You are my date tonight, okay?" I heard Harry cooing at Gracie as I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. Harry always had a soft side for her, not only because she's the youngest out of us four, but because she's very much like all of us in her own way.

"My lady" Liam smirks after pulling my chair out for me to sit, giving him a appreciating smile as I peck his cheek, taking my seat.

I don't know what got to this conversation, but suddenly my parents, mainly my mother, was talking about our new gardener she hired.

Funny, I didn't even get to meet the new gardener yet.

"I'm guessing the gardener does a fine job around your garden" Karen smirks, taking a light sip out of her red wine.

"Oh indeed, I'm pretty sure everyone in this household has met our new gardener" my mother smiles at me and my other siblings, which Harry and Louis nod, Ariana bits her bottom lip flirtatiously. Okay?

"I haven't met the new gardener yet" I blurt out, shrugging as my mother nods, surprised that I haven't met our new gardener, considering that I'm always at the garden.

"Oh Selena, don't be so sure little sister. I'm pretty sure you did, but you didn't expect that person to be it" Louis smirks at me, taking a sip out of his water, making me furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

No Louis, I'm pretty sure I didn't.

What is he making this so confusing for me?

"Well Mandy, it was nice seeing you two like always" Karen smiles, giving my mother a hug as they chuckle and pull away.

"Oh Karen, you know your always welcome. Especially your son! Liam, you are always welcome to come see my daughter as well" my mother smiles at him, Liam smiling as he kisses my hand. I give him a light smile, he's too good for me.

"Well Brian, I'll see you tomorrow at our business meeting?" Geoff asked, holding out his hand as my father gladly shakes.

"Indeed, I'll be there"

"Okay father, it's getting late" Nicola sighs, earning a chuckle from both our parents as they just shrug and start to say their goodbyes.

"I'll see you soon, at Gracie's birthday dinner" Liam asks, laying his hands on my shoulders as I smirk and nod.

"Of course"

"Very well then, I see you till then. I love you, sleep well" he said, kissing my forehead as I give him my best smile.

"I love you too" I respond, pecking his lips before he walks out the door with his family.

"Well than children, off to bed now. We have a long day of fittings and planning tomorrow for your baby sister's birthday"

"Yes father" we all say in unison, turning away as we walk up to our rooms.

Great, now I have to look for a dress with my mother and Ariana.

I walk towards my room, walking inside as I sigh of relief after falling over my bed. I held my left hand up in front of me, playing with the big diamond ring on my finger.

Oh Liam, your too good for me. What are you doing with a girl like me?

I'm not sure why but......

At least I have someone to spend my life with, I guess.
