Chapter 9

Zayn POV

I was on my knees, piling up some dirt from the ground but I kept stopping.

I kept stopping because I would stare up at Selena's window. I couldn't stop thinking about what she might be doing or if she's alright, I couldn't take her gorgeous features out of my mind, out of my head to be exact!

It's been a week since my last interaction with her, and I can't help but feel lost.

I feel lost when I'm not around her.

I feel lost when I don't see her.

I feel lost when she doesn't, at least, say my name.

I'm that depress that I just want her angelic voice to repeat my name to me a thousand times. I just want to see her, is that too much to ask?

Apparently for her mother, it is.

"Zayn?"

I stopped and turned to the familiar voice to see the blonde Irishman walking towards me.

"Niall" I smiled, taking off my gloves before walking up to him and exchanging a brotherly hug.

"What are you doing here, mate Aren't you suppose to be at work?"

"I got a day off, so I thought I could help my mom carry around all her hairstyling equipment"

"I see, that's cool" I nodded, quickly looking up at Selena's window before looking back at him so he wouldn't notice. But of course, he notices it.

"Why are you staring up at that window?"

"Huh?"

"That window? I caught you staring at it" Niall motions me towards Selena's window, making my depressed feelings sink in more.

"It's her window, Selena's window" I sighed, running my fingers through my hair.

"Oh, I know it's hard for you mate. I knew you fancied her"

"Even if I do Nialler, it doesn't matter because she's engaged to Liam Payne"

"Oh great, the wealthiest boy in England" he rolls his eyes, groaning to the mention of who she's marrying.

Yes Niall knows about that night that happened between Selena and I, also her engagement. I tell him everything, he's my best mate, my brother.

"Hey Zayn, I brought you some water. Selena's orders" Demi comes running towards me, handing me a glass of water with a note as I gladly take it before I read the note.

'Enjoy, you really needed a glass.

Selena told Demi to send this to me?

Wait......

I look up at Selena's window, noticing the stunning brunette stand by her window, slightly holding away the curtains. Her long gorgeous hair was moved to one side, and I noticed she was wearing a long white cardigan. She smiles at me, slightly hiding her face with her sleeve, making me smile as well.

I waved at her, receiving a shy wave from her which made me smile even wider.

She's adorable.

"H-Hi, I'm Niall" Niall shyly introduces himself to Demi, after practically knocking me over just to get to her.

"Oh hi, I'm Demi" she blushes, slowly holding out her hand as Niall shyly takes it.
