Fear Fest

TW: Pennywise and scary stuff in general

It was Derry's annual fear fest. Eddie, of course, did not want to go but Richie wanted him to come with the Losers. He always got talked into going and the later that night he couldn't sleep. Several times he came home crying cause he was so afraid. This year was different; Richie and Eddie had started dating about a month ago. Eddie was glad that Richie was there to protect him.

"Okay guys, lets go." Eddie struggled to put on his wrist band cause he was already shaking. Richie put it on for him and hugged him.

"It'll be okay, just stay by me." Richie smiled at Eddie which made him calm down. Richie took Eddie's hand and he gripped it tightly. They walked into the fair. Bill already screamed when he was approached by some deformed cow. Eddie hid his face in Richie's arm. Richie chuckled and kept walking.

"Hey guys! A haunted maze!" Beverly said excitedly and ran towards it. Bill ran after her which meant the whole group was going. Eddie held onto Richie when they walked in. It was themed after an experiment gone wrong. There was blood everywhere and Eddie felt like passing out.

"Ah!" Bill screamed and clung to Stan. Stan scoffed and let him. Richie smiled widely and Eddie looked at the two.

"By the end of the night Eds, I'm telling you." Richie smirked and kept walking. They passed a zombie and Eddie squealed and held onto Richie.

"I hate dead things, I hate dead things." Eddie muttered and Richie rubbed his arm.

"It's okay, I've got you." Richie almost got scared by a pig thing but he growled right back at it and laughed. Eddie was so floored about how fearless Richie seemed to be.

"See it's over now." Richie walked out into the fresh air. Eddie still clung to him like a leech.

"Someone is afraid." Something said in Eddie's ear. He whimpered and hid in Richie's arm. Ben joined the Losers a short while later. Beverly ran into another haunted house with all the other Losers.

"No-" Richie stopped and Eddie looked at him. The sign read,

Eddie saw a clown outside of the house. He stiffened and looked up at Richie.

"I'm not taking you in there. You're my boy and I'm going to protect you." Richie said looking at Eddie.

"You wanna go get a snack or something?" Eddie nodded and they walked to a little store. They had pastries and pretzels. Eddie pointed at a doughnut and Richie bought it for him.

"Wh-why didn't you want to go in there?" Eddie asked and Richie looked at him.

"I hate clowns... so much." Richie admitted. Eddie smiled and grabbed his hand.

"Well now I know. We don't have to go in there." Eddie looked at him.

"You'll always be my brave protector." Eddie winked and Richie smiled. After Eddie was done, they met the Losers by another maze.

"Where w-w-were you guys?" Bill asked clearly curious. He was gripping Stan's hand and Stan had an emotionless expression.

"I-I got too scared to go in the fun house so we went and got treats." Eddie covered for Richie, making Richie smile.

"Ha! Wimp." Beverly teased. Eddie shrugged and followed them inside another maze. This one wasn't as bad but a lot of witchcraft and demonic shit was going on.

"You're doomed all of you! To a fate that can never be stopped! Flee the town! Flee the town!" A witch screeched at them. Beverly laughed which made Bill laugh nervously.
