WARNING: OBERYN MARTELL.
Nothing too inappropriate, but still be warned. By the way, the age of everyone is different in this book, compared to the show and books. So, most characters who are older in the show are younger here, and vice versa. There will still however be an age difference between some characters, just not too big. I didn't want to take away the authenticity of the history this series is based on, where it was normal for there to be the age gap. I didn't it to be too extreme however, but I didn't want to pretend these historical issues didn't exist.
Enough with the psa, enjoy this long ass chapter.

Rose was bored out of her mind. Since Jaime brought her back to King's Landing, she had been closely monitored by numerous guards to ensure that she wasn't going to run away again. These new restrictions led Rose to her seat beside Cersei and her father the morning before Joffery's wedding. Watching the King fuss over his gifts while she shoved food in her face, in a way that would have been disapproved of if she still had a Septa.
"From House Tyrell and the people of the Reach, your Grace. It is my honor to present you with this wedding cup. May you and my daughter drink deep and live long." Mace Tyrell gave his speech as he presented Joffery with a large gold cup. Rose snorted into her food, swallowed to avoid chocking, before proceeding to crack up with laughter at the thought of a successful marriage for the cruel boy-King.
"A handsome goblet, my Lord, or should I call you father?" Joffery stopped smirking at his aunt, whom he was desperate to please, to respond to his future father-in-law. Rose's giggles subsided when her father glared harshly at her with his green gold eyes, she returned to eating off Tyrion's untouched plate of food.
"I shall be honored, your Grace." Mace Tyrell smiled brightly before returning to his seat at the high table, positively beaming at Joffery's words.
"She's the whore I told you about, the dark haired one." Cersei commented to Tywin, pointing to a beautiful brunette server, earning both Rose and Tyrion's attention. Tyrion shared a nervous glance with Rose before she continued eating and he returned his stare to his hands.
"Have her brought to the Tower of the Hand before the wedding." Tywin ordered Cersei, his voice revealing his content at the thought of his son's unhappiness. Tyrion's squire, Podrick Payne, carried a book to Joffery. Laying it down as Tyrion rose to address his nephew.
"A book?" Joffery seemed confused as he assessed the large book in front of him in disinterest.
"The works of Grand Maester Kaith's History of the Reigns of the Young Dragon, Baelord the Blessed, Aegon the Unworthy, and Daeron the Good. A book every King should read." Tyrion educated Joffery, making Rose smile. Joffery was never fond of reading, despite spending hours on end in the library with Rose. He merely did that to win her affection.
Despite Joffery's attempts, Rose was too preoccupied with the stories in the library to notice Joffery tugging at her sleeve for attention, before eventually giving up. Joffery shared a look with Tywin before turning back to Tyrion.
"Now that the war is done, we should all find time for wisdom. Thank you, uncle." Joffery responded in a noble fashion, acting for once like the King he is supposed to be. After Tyrion took his leave to return to his seat beside Rose, allowing a knight to rest a full sheathed longsword on the table beside the book. This made Rose roll her eyes as she felt her father stand and place his hand on her shoulder, before addressing Joffery.
