~Chapter 3~

"Wake the hell up, you stupid worthless piece of shit!"

I was awoken into a groggy state by a very broad man yelling in my face a bunch of oh so delightful comments (yah, that's my moody-sarcastic side coming out). He had tattoos on up and down one of his arms with brown buzz-cut hair and brown dull, lifeless eyes. His entire presence reminds me of a drill sergeant you would find at boot camp. Great, I'm screwed for life.

"Do you hear me human? My master is awaiting your presence immediately. So get your lazy ass up NOW!" Yelled the horrific man

Everything seemed like it was going in slow motion. I can't even remember how I got here, wherever here is. And where is Sam? Why isn't she in this mess, not that I would want my best friend to be. As my mind was rambling on and on, I looked down at my now stained shirt. A red, sticky stomach coated my entire upper-body. Just like that everything that happened from the night before came flooding back to me. Sam. She was murdered and I bet this horrible monster yelling at my face as I block him out did it, with his own cold hands. Tears sprung to me eyes at the realization of everything. They were holding me against my will and are probably going to kill or torture me. But I'm tough. I have to be for all of the things that have happened in my life. Whatever this guy and his 'master' are planning for me I have been through so much worse. I can handle this. I need to handle this for my best friend.

Two giant arms roughly grabbed me around the waist and thrust me over their shoulder. I could barely breathe from this 'drill sergeants' grip. I bruise easily too. Just wonderful.

"W...Where are you taking me?" I tried to ask with conviction but my words coming out small and timid.

"Shut up, you pathetic being." He yelled right in my ear since I was hanging over his shoulder.

"I'm the same as you. If you're some sexist man you really need to get over yourself." I said with more authority then the last time I tried to speak up.

"We...are......nothing *gasp for air* alike in any shape or form." He said through heavy laughter.

After that humiliation I just kept quiet, not wanting to make him yell (or laugh in my face) anymore anyway. Looking around at my surroundings, all I can see is charcoal gray walls as he carried me farther down this long extensive hallway. Finally we reach stairs that lead up to a set of double doors that look like they should come from the renaissance fair that I have (or had since I'm gosh knows where now) back home. It was some dark shade of green with intricate patterns for door knobs made of silver. Somebody needs to give this place a motherly touch.

The guy holding me set me down, okay more like dropped me. Man, I'm going to be hurting in the morning.

"Open those doors and on the other side my master is waiting to answer all your questions. I must go now."

Without saying another word, he turned around leaving me to face whoever was behind these doors. With shaking hands I reached for the door knobs admiring the intricate details that were involved to make them.

Before I could even open the door a loud authoritive voice spoke through the door. "Please come in here immediately. I don't have all day Ms. Grabowski."

How does this dude know my name? I tried walking into the room without looking like a scared lost puppy, because that's exactly how I felt right now.

As I walked in everything in this room was the same as the halls. Dark, dark, and darker. I mean I'm all for the dark colors but this is just too much. The only lively color in the room was the wall behind this man's desk and it was a color that I can only describe as blood red, all the other walls are the same charcoal gray as the hallway leading up here.

A very large-built man with black hair and piercing white eyes (don't worry I noted that they look exactly like the man that ran into the forest earlier). The only way I could tell that he was older is the subtle wrinkles around his eyes that are probably due to all the smiling over the years, but this man doesn't seem like one to smile often.

"Please sit Ms. Grabowski, I have a lot to explain to you and I am a very busy person."

Okay, so what is up with this last name thing? Not wanting to provoke him, I sat down on command like the scared little puppy I am.

"Thank you. Now where to begin. Do you know where you are?" He asked with a loud voice that brought me back out of my thoughts.

Not trusting my voice I just nodded my head to let him know I have no Idea where I am.

"Okay. Ms. Grabowski, I am not going to hurt you. Do you understand? You are only here because of an incident that happened with your friend."

Why is he talking to me like a baby? I looked down at my hands not wanting to look at this man anymore. I notice my hands were shaking. This has been happening a lot. Since Junior's party I have been more skittish and scared of everything and everyone. You would think that what happened at that party would make me stronger but no, it makes me weak. This made me mad. I shouldn't be weak. I should be able to control my life not have other people control it for me. Just this thought gave me the courage to speak up.

"Stop calling me Ms. Grabowski! My name is Aria! Okay? I didn't ask to come here. I didn't ask for my best friend to be murdered or for me to almost get killed by some dumbass speeding in a parking lot! So just tell me whatever it is you need to tell me so I can go home!" I said or yelled at this stupid man. Without even realizing it I must have stood up and walked right up to his desk because the chair I was sitting in was now sideways on the floor and I was speaking to this man that was at least 10 feet away from me before is now mere inches.

***COUGH, COUGH***

"Umm... father, I think you need to go out for some blo... I mean food. I'll take care of Aria for you while you're gone." Some man who must have entered on my tyrant said from behind me. I spun around to see the most beautiful guy. He had emerald green eyes with jet black hair that was tussled in a way that was made to look messy. With my only 5'3' frame this man looked like a giant. He at least stood at 6'5'. With just a navy blue t-shirt and some jeans he still looked like the most handsome man I have ever seen. I could tell he was well built, his tight shirt allowed me to see every curve of his chest carved from angels themselves. That reminds me, what am I wearing anyway? I looked down to see blood stained clothes and the gash in the side of my leg was well stitched up and bandaged. I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes for yet another loss I have to endure. A single tear escaped, without my permission making me look like an even bigger mess.

I could feel a gaze looking at me and I looked up to see tall dark and handsome staring at me with what seemed like sympathy in his gorgeous, mysterious green eyes. I need to stop thinking like this. I don't even know him!

"Okay very well son. You take her while I go grab a bite of food." Said the man behind me with clenched teeth like he was trying to control himself. As he walked past me I could tell he was shaking with anger. What. The. Heck? Why was he shaking, he seemed fine before this man came in? I need answers. My mind was about to explode from pure confusion.

As he left the room to grab a bite of food, I was left alone with this gorgeous man before me.
