Chapter 5

A creature of the dark?

What, do I have idiot stamped on my forehead?

"Your crazy" I said with as much authority i could muster.

"No, you just don't understand."

"Well, then why don't you just explain it to me!?"

"Because that would be going against the laws of my kindgdom.  I wish I could tell you, I really do.  I'm sorry."

"yah." was all I could say.

I feel defeated.

"Come on.  Get cleaned up and we will go outside for a walk."

I got up and rinsed of my entire body at the sink.

My hair was completely wet and I could already see a few of the many ringlets starting to form.  As i walked out of the bathroom, Blake was waiting directly out the door.

"Ready?"  He asked.

All I could do was nod.

Walking down the long corridor felt like ages.  Same long hallways.  Red walls, with the occasional black.

As we reached a wall made of nothing but glass, I couldn't help but gwake.  The yard was nothing but a pond to the left and a field of flowers to the right.  A stone path split up both sides.  The moonlight glistened on every little water speck it could find.

"Ladies first"

I had to snap myself out of my gaze and when i looked up a Blake, he was already smiling.

"Where are we?"

"You're in the Kindgom of the Dark."

Well wasn't that a dandy explanation.

"Ohhh, i see. And where would that be?"  I asked with full saracasm dripping off of my every word.

"In another universe."

After that I didn't even know what to say.  I looked at his face and it was nothing but seriousness.  I had not one doubt at what he was saying to be true.

After that, we just walked down the path, with absolutley no word.  All i could hear was my footsteps.  Blake's were unrecognizable.  After about ten minutes we reached another pond.  Except this one was crystal clear.  Clearer than anything I have ever seen.  Floridian oceans looked dirty compared to this.  I love the water.  It has always been a place for me to succumb to reality and all my feelings.  It took all my will power not to just jump in there.

***SPLASH***

I looked at were Blake had once been and all that was left was his clothers (except for his boxers) and him left swimming in the water.

"Get in."

I couldn't helped myself.  I stripped down to nothing but my bra and underwear and jumped in.  The water was suprisingly warm compared to the freezing temperatures above  ground.  As I swam towards Blake, I saw a black shadow next to me underwater, and then i was being dragged down deep under the surface.  I was loosing oxygen by the second.  My lungs felt all too heavy in my chest.  I could feel the water entiring my entire body.  Slowly and steadily, I could feel every fiber in my being go into shut down mode.  I couldn't feel anything.  Not even the hand attached to my ankle.  A hand from above came up and tried to pull me up, with little affect.  The person swam down farther and thats when i saw Blake's darker than black hair swimming past.  He kicked the person attached to me off and then grabbed me and pulled me to the surface and to the side of the pond.

All i could do was colapse on top of him.

"Are you okay?"

I couldn't speak.

"Aria!?"

...

"Listen to me. Aria, stay with me!"

My eyes felt so heavy.  I tried to stare into Blakes emarld green eyes.  LIke the grass in the morning with mildew sparkling all about.  It was to much effort.  Closing my eyes would be so easy, but keeping them open, well that took a lot of effort.  I just let myself succumb to the deep abyss of darkness.

Lips.

Soft...

Hands..

Push.

Chest.

Pressure.

Pain.

Agony.

I could feel my eyes lifting without my doing.   Blake's lips were to mine.

WHAT?

I kinda liked the feel.

Blake may have almost run me over, but i feel comfort in him.

"Blake?"  I murmured on his lips.

He shot up straigtht.

"Aria? Are you okay? I thought I lost you?"

"yah, I'm okay.  Just tell me what happened."
