As soon as Jayda woke up the next morning, she went straight to her phone. She had 17 missed calls from people at her school, except she didn't know why as they NEVER usually called her.
She also had lots of Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook & Whatsapp notifications, so she checked them out.
As she scrolled down her newsfeeds, she just saw lots & lots of the same news.
Then... she saw it. She saw that Cheryl had posted a massive rant/speech on Facebook about LGBT's. Then at the end she noticed that it said "Oh and also @JaydaMiller is a bisexual, just thought you ought to know".
Jayda suddenly felt dreadful. IT. WAS. EVERYWHERE.
She then realised that all those calls, texts and Notifications were all about what Cheryl had said.
This day was off to a bad start, and Jayda felt like it could only get worse...
**15 minutes later**
Jayda quickly got dressed and ran downstairs to have her breakfast. She sat at the table directly across from her mom. It was the most awkward silence ever.
"Soooo..." Jayda said "Who told you?".
Her mom looked at her alarmingly, "who told me what?", Jayda rolled her eyes "You know what? Who told you I'm... bi?".
Her mom looked at her again and than crunched on her cereal. "WHO TOLD YOU?" Declared Jayda, "WHO WAS IT?".
Her mom flung her spoon down, "honey... let me tell you. Just calm down please".
Jayda sat back down and listened to her mother. "Okay so, I got a phone call & the number was unrecognised, so I declined. But it kept calling and calling, so I finally answered. The voice on the other end sounded stupid, like someone was trying to disguise it. But I knew straight away who it was... it was Cheryl."
Unsurprised, Jayda kept eating her food without saying a word. "I saw it one Facebook too Jayda. Are you okay?". "Yeah" Jayda sighed as she stood up to get her school bag.
She opened the front door and then left.
Jayda was about Half way up the street when she heard a voice behind her yell "Jayda, wait!". She quickly spun around to see her mom chasing after her. "Jayda, take the day off of school and see if this whole thing blows over" panted her mom.
Deep down Jayda knew that this wouldn't blow over in a day, but she needed this day off of school, so she went along with it.
