I had planned to go straight home after school but I realised halfway on my way home that I had forgotten my textbook I needed for studying, so reluctantly I turned around and headed back towards school.
I do not have any friends, I do not think I need any because they are just a distraction and I can not afford to have any distractions this close to my final year exams.
When I got to my school's gate I looked up at the sky and splat a big raindrop fell right onto my eye. It just started pouring with rain all of a sudden (It always rains in Forks), I pulled my jacket hood over my head and ran to the locker room where I thought I had left my book. When I unlocked my locker I did not find my book there so I decided that I must have left it in my last classroom.
When I opened the classroom door I saw a girl in the front of the classroom writing on the white board, I figured she was here for detention so I did not pay much attention to her until she turned around. I was shocked!! I had never seen this girl at school before, but she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. In truth I had never really paid attention to the looks of girls because I had no interest in them, but this girl made me stop dead in my tracks and stare. I could not believe my eyes!
She tilted her head to the side and smiled, the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. She started towards me and I took a step back out of surprise. She stopped and laughed a most musical laugh. She said, " Don't worry I don't bite". I looked at her with curious eyes, I still could not fathom the extent of her beauty.
I could not hear anything, there was nothing besides her. She laughed that musical laugh again and said, "Do you like what you see?". I muttered an incoherent reply because I was at a loss for words, I too then started to smile back. Her face lit up and she was even more beautiful than before. I did not know how long we had been standing there and staring but it was all too short. I decided to introduce myself. She smiled again and told me her name was Elizabeth but she wanted to be called Liz She said that she had just moved to Forks and was a new student starting at Washington High. At that moment my reminder on my watch went off snaping me out of this trans like state and reminding me that I should have been home already. I decide that it was time to say goodbye to this angel that I just met. Reluctantly I told Liz I just had to get my textbook and leave.
I got to my desk, took my textbook and turned to leave. She stopped me and took my hand. I could not move it was like I had been put under a spell. I watched as she lifted my hand to her face, I closed my eyes and then suddenly there was a searing pain in my wrist. My eyes opened to find Liz's mouth wrapped around it. Her eyes were cloudded and full of lust. Her once ocean blue eyes were now dark red.
I tried to scream but nothing came out of my mouth but a small squeak. She looked at me and I was able to get a glimpse of those red eyes one last time before everything turned black!!
