*Two Hours Later*
I could not believe what I had become! A vampire! I've become a bloodsucking beast.
"You'll have to stay away from your family and friends for a while" said Liz. "My mom and dad never come home and I don't really have friends" I replied. "Good it just makes my job of keeping you out of trouble easier" said Liz
"What blood did you give me" I asked. "Human blood" stated Liz simply. " No, I just drank human blood!" I exclaimed out. "How did you get this blood" I asked with tears in my eyes. "I stole it from a hospital blood bank" said Liz. A blood bank! oh than god I thought that she killed a human and drained his blood to give to me.
"human blood is best for a vampire fledgling, it gives them strength and energy needed as a newly blooded vampire. After that as my fledgling I expect you to hunt animals and drink animal blood instead of humans" said Liz. " So vampires don't only have to drink human blood" I asked with hope in my eyes. "Nope, animal blood will be just fine although some vampires do prefer to drink human blood" said Liz. The tears seemed to come in endless floods, but these were tears of extreme joy and not sadness. This means that I wont have to kill other people just to survive.
" There are a few things that you have to know about being a vampire " said Liz. "let me guess, I must not walk out into direct sunlight or I'll be burnt to ashes" I said with more bitterness than meant. Liz laughed at that. " NO, that is just a myth" said Liz as a big smile spread across her face, making her more beautiful. " Onto business then, as my fledgling you may not drink any human blood unless your life is threatened by a human. When you are hunting you may not let any one else see you while you are feeding, if you do then our secrete will be given up and I'll kill you and the human that saw you" said Liz finishing off in a rush and taking deep breath. I sat there silently thinking of all the things that she had just told me. atleast my parents did not come home often.
" How often do I have to feed I asked. "Good question! You'll have to feed about once week. If you do not you'll experience a burning sensation in your throat telling you that you have to feed, this sensation will get worse the more time you wait to feed. You should try feeding on the same day every week before the burning begins because this is know as blood lust and if you do not quench your thirst then you might lose control of yourself and if you are close to humans that will be very dangerous", said Liz.
" As a vampire your strength is significantly stronger than a humans and if you are not careful you could hurt soemone. Your senses such as hearing, sight and smell have also increased you'll have to get used to that. You'll use those things for hunting so they'll come in handy" Liz said. "So that's why everything looks, smells and sounds different,it's not only me?" I asked.
"Nope" said Liz with a small smile touching her face.
"Well, those two small bags of blood will only sustain you for a little while longer we should go hunting before you become thirsty again" said Liz jumping up with glee.
