To say I was terrified would be to grossly underestimate the amount of fear running through my body. I had never before had any close encounters with the vampires and within twenty minutes of being inside this new hell, I've seen more than I want of their true nature. The way Lord Thelios had his fangs sunk into the poor girl's arm when we first entered his sunroom, would be an image I would never be able to toss back to the depths of my mind. What made it worse was the image of the girl's face being replaced with my own the more I thought about it.

These creatures are Satan's spawns and after being dismissed from the sunroom, I've had the urge to constantly check behind me, to watch my back and make sure no other vampire was following me ready to devour every drop of my blood. I knew Lord Thelios had said he could make this unbearable for me here if I didn't cooperate, part of me believes him and tells me I should stay on my best behavior. The other part of me tells me to constantly be on guard because wether I behave or not, my life here will be unbearable always.

I must have been deep in thought when Elias spoke to me because I only became coherent to his words when he tugged on my hair.

"Did you hear anything I just said?" He asked, annoyance laced with his words. I blinked for a few seconds before I answered. Trying to think back if I had heard him say anything.

"No..."

"You humans have the attention span of an insect. You are to stay in your chambers until you are told otherwise. You my only exit your chambers when escorted. Do you understand?"

"So I am to be treated like a pet then? Stuck in my cage all day until someone decides they want to let me out for a walk? Shall I beg for food too?" I may be terrified but I am still a human being, I should be treated thusly. As I finished my questions, Elias had his hand raised ready to slap my face. I stood my ground though much like I did when I was thirteen.

I had snuck out the back door when Ester wasn't paying attention. I had ran to the clearing before the woods began where I saw a group of boys playing ball. When I approached the boys only wanting to join their game, they began laughing at me. Thomas Jones started calling me a stupid girl. I had gotten so upset I picked up the leather ball and launched it at that red headed fool. The ball smacked his cheek so hard it sent him to the ground. The other boys began laughing at Thomas until he shot back up and raised his hand to me. John had caught up with me before Thomas could act out his threat. I didn't budge then and I wasn't budging now.

Elias dropped his hand to his side making a fist so hard his knuckles turned white. He took a step closer to me and through his gritted teeth said, "No, you are to be treated like a pure blood slave. If you were to be let loose on your own through this castle, you're head would be separated from your neck and your intestines feasted on before you could scream for help." I stood there staring back at Elias' black eyes. He was right, I would be drained before I even made it down the hallway.

"May I ask one more question?" He was hesitant but exhaled sharply and nodded his head in agreement.

"You said I shall be treated like a pure blood slave...am I not one yet?" Again Elias exhaled sharply but pinched the bridge of his nose this time. Giving me a look as if he was about to tell me a secret, he stepped back and crossed his arms over his chest.

"No, you are not a true blood slave yet. Contrary to popular belief, Lord Thelios cannot simply claim you as his blood slave.....he has to bond you as his blood slave."

"Bond me?"

"You said one more question, that is a second question." He said as he walked out of the door shutting it and, from what I could tell, locking it from the outside. What in God's name does he mean by bonding me.
