A short dream sequence from Miss Amily...

I hope everyone is having a fangtastic read!! This chapter is short but holds so much. Enjoy!!

Again I was running. I wasn't in the forest this time, no, I was in the castle. I wasn't running from anyone only to someone. I felt like my heart had been ripped from my chest and then stomped on right in front of me.  Like my world stopped turning and the moon and sun had fallen from the sky. The tears that swelled in my eyes overflowed onto my cheeks leaving a trail of wetness and sadness on my skin.

My body was shaking nervously as my feet stopped moving in front of a chamber door. My hands were uncontrollable as I slowly extended them, reaching for the doorknob. The cold metal surface of the knob halted my actions for a moment. It was as if I knew what waited for me on the other side of the door. I could feel my heart sink to the pits of my stomach as I began to turn the handle. The door slowly fell open accompanied by a loud screeching. The sound was carried in the air, bouncing off anything and everything it could, making it appear even louder.

Upon entering the chamber, everything seemed normal and unturned. Everything was in its place, not that I had seen this room before, I just knew it. The bed was made, the fire was roaring making the room warm and welcoming. As I explored further, I saw an ominous glow of red light behind the curtains of the window. Walking over to the window and shifting the curtains to expose the glass and enhance my view, I saw a dark figure standing outside on the grass. The figure was engulfed by the red glow making a red aura, similar to the golden aura the other man had. I didn't know why but something told me to go to the figure.

I ran back through the halls of the castle making my way to the entrance of the garden off the west wing side. When entering the garden,  it was almost like walking through a labyrinth where the walls were ten foot tall rose bushes. The bushes still had their thorns causing a few scrapes on my arms and shoulders as I walked past them. With further inspection, because I hadn't noticed when I first entered, I saw the roses were black. Not just any black, the rim of each petal was onyx black but trailing the piece to the center of the flower, the onyx gradually turned into hues of green.

Each beautiful rose was a different shade. Some being emerald like the color of my eyes or others being jade green, forest green, apple green and more. They were stunning. Though their color was not that of your traditional rose, their scent couldn't fool anyone as the rose aroma wafted past my senses. I followed the rose scented maze all the way to the garden clearing. The place I had seen the figure once before now stood empty, uninhabited by anyone but myself and the roses. I felt sick to my stomach. I had turned to leave the clearing but just as I took my first step, a swift breeze blew past me. It wasn't until a hand was resting on my shoulder did I know the breeze carried someone with it.

The hand on my shoulder slowly moved to my neck, tracing it with its knuckles. From my neck to my chin then to my lips, the hand trailed its way around my body, eventually reaching my collar bone. As I closed my eyes, relaxing myself to the touch, another hand was placed on my other shoulder holding me so I wouldn't fall as I was spun around. I opened my eyes to be greeted by black, red glowing eyes staring at me. Though those black eyes usually installed hate inside of me, I wept when I saw them this time. My heart that was once broken and stomped on was healed and restored to its full self. The world that I so fear stopped was turning again with the moon and sun back in their homes in the sky. The tears I cried were not tears of sadness but of happiness. I didn't know why I felt those things until now....Elias was returned to me.

I jumped into his arms, burrowing my head into his chest. Elias held me tight and walked us over to a bench that rested in the center of the clearing. When we were seated, I stayed in his lap. Elias lifted my head by my chin and with the thumb of his hand, wiped away my tears. He licked at the cuts the thorns had left on my skin, healing them and making me chuckle, ever so slightly, as his tongue cleaned the crimson from me. When he had finished, I looked at him, sadness and happiness combined in my chest and created a whirlwind of emotions as I stared at him. His black hair blowing in the breeze as his eyes scanned over me, making sure I hadn't injured myself any further.

"I thought you were gone, I thought I  had lost you Elias. Please never leave me again." I whimpered. Tears falling again to my cheeks. Elias smiled softly and looked me in the eyes as he said, "Not even death can keep me from you." He whispered and his lips slowly inched closer to mine........

My eyes popped open and an immediate sour expression took over my face. I need to stop dreaming of that vile man.
