Alice' POV
I smiled deviously at him daring him with my eyes to take his shirt off. He didn't hesitate to rip the shirt and jacket from his body and throw them to the ground. He stepped closer to me so that we were practically touching. His hands grabbed my waist and I felt the world stop at his soft touch. How could such a broken heart fill in my cracks so wonderfully?
"Ready?"
"For what?" His grip tightened as my feet left the ground. He threw me over his shoulder as he ran into the water. He cried out as the cold water hit his legs. He pushed deeper and a few drops splashed onto my exposed skin. He finally stopped and dunked me into the waist-deep water. I went underneath for a brief moment. When I surfaced I brushed the water from my face. A smug grin graced Roman's face and I splashed his chest with the cold water.
"Is that the game were playing?"
"What game?" He turned away briefly then twirled back to splash and armful of water right at me. Without missing a beat I swam to kick water at him. I felt hands around my ankles that dragged me back and under. I again wiped water from my face and looked Roman right in the eyes. We were about a foot different in height so he could easily overpower me. So as to prove my point he lifted my waist above the water and held me in the air. I braced myself against his shoulders with my hands and looked down into his eyes that looked up at me. He slowly lowered me and I wrapped my legs around his waist. We were eye to eye and chest to chest. His hands held my legs in a gentlemanly way. Or at least, as gentlemanly as he could in our predicament. I looked deep into his eyes and got lost in their darkness.
