I decided after all to stay at Cameron's.
"Try to have a good day." He said while walking out the front.
"Yeah" I merely said.
I was sitting on the couch watching snow fall out the giant windows, when someone opened the door, I stood up still wearing a baggy T-shirt and boxers.
A girl walked in we froze staring at each other.
I recognized her, I glanced at her head. The girl with the shaved head.
She bit off something... A twizzler?
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Who are you?" She echoed "and why are you in my brothers house?" She added on.
"Brother?"
"Yes Cameron Lock my brother."
"I'm a... friend." I said more like a question.
"Why are you wearing his boxers?"
"My clothes got ruined." I said truthfully.
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"Why are you here?" I echoed.
"Fine whatever" she said dropping her keys on the counter "I'm just going to call Cameron."
"Yeah." I said crossing my arms.
We stared at each other while she rang Cameron.
"Yes Cameron, it's me Sara, I'm calling because I'm coming in here to visit you, yes you did know of this." She sighed "Why is there wearing boxers in your living room?" She was silent.
"Oh, oh okay." She hung up and looked up at me.
"Well I'm Sara" she said coming over and plopping on the couch.
I sat beside her my face hot.
"I like your hair." I squeaked.
"Thanks"
"My name's Octavia." I said.
We both watched the snow fall.
"Have you ever thought of shaving your head?"
"Yes... but my uh" I was about to say fiance.
Wasn't he technically still my fiance?
"Your?" She asked.
"My fiance" I said tightly.
"What about him?"
"He wouldn't have liked it, so I never did it."
"Would you want to?"
"Well I always did want to."
"Do you want to?"
"What?"
"I'll get a pair of clothes out of my car for you, and we'll go get shavers."
"Oh I don't know."
"If you don't want to."
I sighed "you know, what the hell?"
"Really?" She said standing up.
"Really" I said also standing.
"Lets go!" She ran down to her car coming back up carrying a red dress.
I went to the bathroom putting it on, it was very beautiful. Not something I'd usually wear.
It has tank top straps, and went low in the front showing cleavage.
I stepped out.
"I love it!" She said exasperated.
We went down stairs, the light snow froze my arms and legs.
I got in her car; it wasn't nearly as nice or anxiety inducing as Cameron's.
"So how do you know my brother?" She asked.
"I'm his assistant" I said. Trust me I know how bad that sounds.
"Oh?" She teased.
"Me and my fiance got in a... fight I freaked out and ended up at Cameron's. He let me stay the night and borrow clothes."
"Are you going to go back with your fiance?"
I ran my fingers through my hair, a bug chunk was missing where he had wripped it out.
"No." I said finally making up my mind.
We stopped at a small hair salon.
"I've got to make a call, one second okay?" I told Sara.
"Sure meet you inside." She said continuing inside the building.
I turned and rang Cameron.
"Hello" he said almost instantly.
"Hey, Cameron it's me... I made up my mind... about our conversation this morning."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I want to take him to court... and if it's not to weird I'd like you to be my lawyer."
"No of course it's not!" I could tell he was trying to hide the thrill behind his voice.
I said goodbye and went inside.
"About time!" Sara said walking up to me "I was starting to think you froze out there."
She directed me to a chair, a girl with purple hair came up to me.
"What are you wanting?"
"I want to shave it all off." I said in a shakey voice.
"You sure?" She asked.
"No... let's do it."
She shrugged and turned on the razor.
