*Present day*
It's been 10 years since my mom passed. 10 years and I can't help but wonder what would've happened if she was still alive. If she was still with me. All I can do is wonder. After my mom died, things were tough. My dad ended up becoming an alcoholic . I guess,he wanted to forget all that happened. All the pain and sorrow. I wanted to forget too. School was the worst part of it all. I got bullied because my mom died and my father smelled of alcohol when he would pick me up from school. Who knew that kids could be so cruel. My dad not only was an alcoholic but, he was very abusive too. My father ended up dying of too much alcohol consumption. I had to sell the house myself and work endless hours at a mini mart . I moved to a small apartment and I'm still currently going to school. Whoppie! ( sarcasm intended).
" Excuse me? May I please have the attention of the class?" Mrs. Phillip said.
" We have a new student, Mr. Hemmings."
