(Sarah's past POV)

I ended up in a place quite unfamiliar.. Somebody's house? Shit, did I do anything stupid last night, aside from my drinking. Wait a second, thank god my clothes are still on. I look up and there is a boy about my age looking right at me. "Who are you?". I asked . I'm not gonna lie, this boy was extremely attractive but I'm not looking for love. "Um.. Hi, my names Ashton and I saw you passed out on the street bleeding from your wrists.. So I was concerned and worried about you that's all". "Oh, ok then, my names Sarah by the way." I said shyly. "Sarah, can I ask you something. " he asked shyly. "Sure, I guess." I told him politely. "Why do you do that to yourself?". "Do what to myself?". I knew what he was talking about. I knew he was going to question everything about my life. "Sarah, you know pretty darn well what I'm talking about."
"You want know the truth, I don't do this to myself. People put these scars on my wrist . I don't. Their actions and words hurt me like knives cutting through my heart. I needed a way to release my pain and sadness. Is that what you wanted to know!". I was beyond angry, how could this stranger take me into his house and then judge my life. I've already had enough of it. He looked at me with pain in his eyes, the kind of pain I've felt for the longest time in my life. "Sarah, I'm sorry for saying anything." He said giving me an apologetic look. "I notice people like you Ashton, we've both been through the same thing, just a different kind of pain. We both have stories of our own sadness. And I know you have one too. Well, goodbye."

{Sarah's present POV}
I've realized something. Luke doesn't deserve someone like me. How can someone so full of light and hope want someone so dark? If there's one thing I haven't realized, is that Luke must really love me that much to actually stick around for a while. Heck, he's all I've ever wanted. I've wanted to be happy for the longest time, and I've finally found a reason why. Luke was sent to be with me for a reason?! This is destiny!

(Carl's POV)
I feel terrible. I've ruined my life. I was happy when I had my daughter and wife around. I messed up everything, I have to make this right. I remember when Sarah was a little girl and she had so much light in her eyes. I never realized that someone so pure and loving managed to care about someone who isn't. Sarah, my beautiful daughter, loves me. Despite everything I've put her through, she manages to keep loving me. I feel terrible. I've put my daughter through so much pain.
(Carl's flashback)

"Daddy, I never want to grow up." "Why?" I said. "I don't know, I just want to be little forever, I don't want to grow up because growing up means leaving and I don't want to leave you." "Sarah, you have a way with words for someone your age."
"Dad, can I tell you something."
"Sure sweetie, anything."
"No matter what happens when I grow up , I want you to know that I'll always love you..ok." She said soft and full of innocence. "I'll always love you too."

"I'll always love you Sarah. And I know somewhere deep down in your heart, you love me too..".

"Dean, cancel everything.. We're not doing this anymore. Its over. Call everything off." "What the heck boss, but you said-." "I know what I said, but its not happening I'm calling it off, and that's final." "Yes, boss."
"Dean, take the money just take me to my daughter so I can fix this."
"Fix what boss?" "Everything I've broken."
