Haru hummed as she carried Reborn into the manor and past the scary maid that looked like she wanted to kill him with her nails... The thing that put his instincts further on edge was that she was smiling at him like the cat that eat the canary, as if she new something he didn't.
Soon, Haru stopped in front of an average looking door. She knocked once, paused, twice, paused, then two quick knocks. She paused and Reborn heard someone unlock the door. When the door opened Reborn saw the smiling grin of Yamamoto Takeshi. "Yo, Haru-Chan. Come on in."
The door opened wide enough Haru to walk in, then quickly slammed shut as soon as she was clear.
Deep in his gut, Reborn couldn't help the dismal feeling that began to bubble and grow.
The dark room seemed to be some sort of office, the only light came from several dimly lit lamps that were strategically placed around so that Reborn couldn't get a good look at who he was dealing with. The five people in the room used the shadows to their advantage making sure that Reborn didn't have any thing to go on.
The dismal feeling got only bigger as Haru's arms tightened around the cursed hitman, ceasing his movements. "Haru's sorry if I hurt you, desu. But we need you to answer some questions honestly, Sun Arcobaleno-San, desu," She stated quite cheerfully.
Arcobaleno. She called him an Arcobaleno!!!!!! Reborn couldn't breath. These people knew something that was so top secret that the major bosses of the Mafia world only had a slight, slight, clue of what he was, let alone what his curse was called.
And this civilian girl, this little civilian prep school girl, knew both who and what he was. Just what is going on here?
"Greetings Reborn, Sun Arcobaleno, World's Number One Hitman. Let's start off with something simple, ne?" A voice he didn't know started off cheerily, before taking on a cold turn, "What do you want with Sawada Tsunayoshi?"
"His father hired me to tutor him because his grades aren't doing too well," Reborn stated easily, not revealing the whole the truth... only to gasp as he felt a shock run through his body.
"Haru didn't hurt you too much did I, desu?" Haru asked in concern.
The voice spoke again. "Thank you Haru."
"You're welcome Boss, desu."
"Now," the voice stated, focusing his attention back onto the hitman, "I do not like lies and half-truths being told to me. So the full truth if you please Sun Arcobaleno-San." Reborn could practically feel the guy smirking at him.
"Who are you to know of matters between me and Sawada Tsunayoshi?" Reborn asked with narrowed eyes.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi is a... powerful resource. It helps with his personality being the way it is. But if you're here due to the CEDEF's Leader than you will no doubt get in our way in order to continue your... contract with the bastard. So, after not seeing his son since the kid was three, why the Hell is that Bastard sending a hitman as a home tutor to his supposed civilian son." Though his voice did not rise, the tone was cold enough that Reborn felt frozen in Haru's arms.
For a moment Reborn couldn't speak. When he finally found his voice Reborn forced out a question. "Would you allow me to speak with Tsunayoshi if I answer your question truthfully?"
"Depends," spoke a different voice, female this time, "If we like your answer or not, you stupid Monkey."
According to his research, only one person talked like that. "Very well, Kurokawa-San," the teen stiffen, showing the cursed hitman that he hit the nail on the head, "I was not contracted with Baka-Iemitsu, but with Vongola Nono to train Tsunayoshi to be Vongola Decimo."
