Elm walked out of her bus and onto the grounds of her high school. She had finally gotten out of camp, and into the real world. Unfortunately, that means she also has to go to school. She skipped her freshman year, and is now a sophomore. Now, she really is alone. Chiron barley let her and a few others out, let alone some untrained demigod. Piper and Leo also got to go to a high school, but she has no idea where they ended up.

She entered the school and her jaw dropped. The place really was a castle. The halls were bursting with kids, all trying to get to their respective classes. The TNI bridge was even worse during the passing period. She approached her locker, and unlocked it. She grabbed her laptop, textbooks, and her binder. She was approached by a group of people, known for their ability to bully their way into making them cry.

"What are you doin', Scarlet? Talking to your imaginary boyfriend?" They taunted her. She was used to this, and they talk crap to her daily about the pictures of her and Leo together.

"Fudge off, Raymond." She replies. They normally taunt her about her appearance, but the bullies pressed on about her boyfriend.

"Why don't you get your imaginary boyfriend to stand up for you? Oh wait. I forgot he doesn't exist. Too bad." They say, not realizing the crowd gathering. She was about to make a witty remark, one Annabeth would have been proud to hear, when a voice from the crowd called out to her. The bullies kept laughing and making remarks about her "boyfriend", until they realized that she isn't paying attention to them. "Hey! You listening? Hey! I'm talking to you!"

"Scarlet!" The voice shouted to her again. The voice that could only belong to one person. Her boyfriend, Leo. She pushed through the bullies, who were still talking bad about her. A boy popped out of the crowd, and time seemed to stop.

"Leo!" She leaped into his arms and hugged him for what felt like forever. The bullies seemed to disappear. She pulled back from the embrace, then a loud noise rang through the halls. The bell rang, and it was time for them to go to class.

"What is your first class?" He asks her.

"Um.... Algebra 1. I suck at math." She replies, knowing that he already knows this.

"Same! With who? I have Lankowski." He asks.

"So do I! We should go. Don't want to be late, although we could blame it on getting lost. That normally works the first week, I heard." She replies. They walk down to their class, hand in hand. When it came to picking a partner for the rest of the year, the two couldn't join up faster.

"This place is a giant castle. That's why I picked it." He says, chuckling."

"Why am I not surprised? I picked here for the same reason!" She says, laughing along with him. "What do you have next? I have AP Human Geo with Karter. I have to go all the way down to the first floor." She says. He looks at his schedule, and sighs.

"I have Auto shop. What do you have third period?" He asks her. She had to look at her schedule, and groans.

"I have to go all the way back up for Spanish. The teacher is really nice. I like her a lot." She says as the bell rings. See ya around! She says as she gives him a big hug. Her next class was uneventful, and frankly, she should have brought a book or something, because the teacher let them work on the summer work she had done when she was supposed to. She put her headphones in and pulled up her music playlist on YouTube. She let the music play in the background and opened her word document.

She continued writing her story, which she based on her own life, in a way. She wouldn't admit it, but she is a total geek. Her screensaver switches between different anime photos, and she loves to write. She is sitting there, minding her own business and all, when the teacher comes over to her.
