The humans, their dragons a safe distance away, faced Blinky in a semicircle, apprehensive. Hiccup was obviously the leader, and he introduced the others as Astrid, Snotlout, Fishlegs, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, Heather, and Dagur. Hiccup apologized multiple times for tying him up, explaining that he had thought Blinky was a new type of dragon, and he hadn't realized that Blinky could think just like a human.

"Also, I'm sorry Toothless chased you. He's just as curious as I am I guess. So... are you a dragon?" Blinky shook his head. "No, I'm a troll. Have you ever heard legends?" Hiccup stared and Blinky remembered what said legends actually entailed. "I don't actually eat children or anything like that. But there are bad trolls, called gum-gums. We're hiding from them here."

Hiccup shook his head, looking overwhelmed. "This is crazy, I never even thought about the possibility of other worlds." Blinky nodded. "Neither did I, until master Jim discovered a way to move between them. Even so, I really need to be getting back..." Blinky gestured toward the ropes still binding his feet.

Astrid cut through the ropes with a knife, extending a hand to pull Blinky back to his feet. "Another universe sounds pretty cool, can we come back with you?" Dagur asked, his eyes gleaming with barely contained energy. Blinky shook his head, almost reluctant- these people were pretty nice, and they did seem to feel bad about capturing him. "No, I don't think that would be a good idea. Perhaps I can arrange a meeting between you and our trollhunter though- I trust his judgement. Hiccup nodded. "Thank you. We'll be here a few more days, and we promise to avoid your camp." Blinky thanked these strange humans and left, still slightly stunned by the newness.
